Cotto Does Not Agree With The WBO's Weight Stance

If the welterweight title should be on the line, the limit should be at 147. If a fighters comes into the fight weighing 145 and the contracted limit was 145, that's his deal.
These catch weights are becoming a pain in the ass. It's almost like we don't have definitive weight classes anymore once big money comes into play. Contenders and prospects fight at the correct weights - 135, 140, 147, 154, 160, 168, 175...Once large money becomes involved and people jump around from weight class to weight class, all the sudden it's 145, 162, 173...bull****.

I dont like it,but wtf is Cotto supposed to do? All roads lead to Pacman. He could always try and get a fight with Berto, but that would only damage his credibility. He could go for PWill, but I would be amazed if he ever fought at 147 again.
Yes he is getting bent over, and yes, Pacquiao is being f.ucking greedy, but that is just the stark reality of the situation. I Cotto decides to man up and accept these ****ty terms, then he will have gone up massively in my estimation.
I am a fan of Pacquiao, but I dont think in recent times he has covered himself with glory. It seems as though he is in danger of becoming another Mayweather with all this bull**** negotiating and stubbornness. I pray that he sees sense and stops that from happening. As a man and as a boxer he is better than that.

Name me 1 modern fighters who benefited more from corrupt sanctioning bodies than cotto.
Let's see. after losing to margarito, he was able to fight for another title against the almighty michael jennings.
at 140, he didnt wanna fight floyd, kostya, gatti, and harris. (all title holders) Instead he was able to snatch up a world title belt against HOF Kelson Pinto.
After his war with hard hitting Paulie Malinaggi, cotto moved up to another weight class and fight for a world title. Not against Margarito, Floyd, or Cintron... NO he didnt fight any of those fighters because they have a title. Cotto fought another vacant title against one hit wonder carlos quintana.
So tell me anybody from this thread who else in boxing today benefited more from these corrupt organization besides cotto

I will also like to add that the fact that Cotto IS being so upfront about his positions makes me believe that he is extremely confident that this will all get done one way or the other. If he was so afraid of losing this fight (as some have suggested) he would most likely keep his mouth shut and let his lawyers and reps deal with the problems.
