If you think Khan-Hatton would get more views than Benn-Eubank II you really need a reality check.

I will always love boxing as well, the point of the thread isn't to degrade the sport.

My point is that people can't go on saying "boxing is fine, don't worry" when there are less good fights, less money to go around and less people tuning in to watch.

If boxing isn't careful it will end up like American Car companies who never felt a serious threat from their foreign competition until it was much too late.

everybody KNOWs what boxing is, but it is just not as popular as before...

of cos there wil be a few big matches a year that attracts attention. And I really mean a FEW.

Look ******, even your fellow Green Teefs won't agree with your ****** ass assertion that Khan-Hatton would be the biggest fight in British History.

What are you 17 years old? You don't even know the history of the sport in your own country.

Read up a few posts to where another British poster talks about how ****ty the gate was for Khan's world title fight.... and you think by pairing him with a washed up fatboy it will exceed the gate and television audience of one of the greatest matches of all time.

You are a complete utter moron.

Saw that coming.....I knew the money issue will come in whenever there is a discussion of MMA rising...

right, 42k at the rematch for benn eubank, hatton has taken nearly that half the way across the world so as for gate attendaces it would be completly hmmerd. Of course this fight would be on ppv so it wont acheive the 15mil figures benn eubank acheived but if it was free it would easily obtain that, if fricking harrison williams got nearly 10mil this could about 20ish. Yh khans ticket sales vs kotelnik was low but no body had heard of this guy and he can hardly speak english not the easiest guy to sell tickets for. You really dont know anything about british boxing and people popularity and you are the moron.

There are solid points to be made on both sides of the argument, remember back in th early 90s when kickboxing exploded everyone said boxing was doomed ,all it took to kill the fad was a few good hw fights bowe holy etc ameicans especially love the hws and right now we pretty much have the boring klits and a few over hyped fringe contenders.
