I seen it live. Funeka is a completely different fighter then Bradley, he isn't as fast and he wasn't showing a mixed attack the Timothy was. Bradley at some points was boxing from a distance, then he would come back inside and out flurry Nate in close quarters as well.
He also wasn't stunning Campbell the way Bradley was.Comment

There are rules set in place for a reason. No one can say the extent of Nate's injury, but Nate is a smart guy. If he had any issue with his eye whatsoever, it was in his best interest to opt out before the 4th round. If he had continued with the cut and problematic vision past round four and then not have been able to continue, it would have been ruled a TKO and rightfully so.
Nate's plan all along was to wear Bradley down. He had already started landing some vicious body shots. Real shots with real leverage, unlike the flashy punches that Bradley did, and mostly didn't land. Keep in mind, that wasnt the first headbutt and it wasn't the last. Bradley was warned for another headbutt after the cut happened. 3 headbutts in 3 rounds.
If Nate sticks to his gameplan, he would have had to done so with a nasty cut which more than likely would have torn down into his eyelid. Only an idiot fighter/corner would continue when the rules are clearly put in place for this exact situation.
Nate is a fight fans fighter, but his health comes first. Given the fact that this cut happened before round 4, this wasn't a life or death decision. There was no need to show heart or bravado. It was a very easy decision to make, protect your eye/health and take the "No Decision".
I hope more than anything that Nate's eye is ok. Nate is a good guy. A husband, father and grandfather. He has taken the worst this sport has to offer and has kept on fighting. He deserves better then what some of you chumps are saying just because you lost some money betting on him.Comment
