Do you have a picture of the cut btw?
The headbutt was right into his eye with the corner of his head. The cut ran right through the center of his eyebrow.

A stigma like that can only be created by ******ed fans who don't understand the meaning of common sense.
If the fighter is explaining symptoms which raise the su****ion of a serious injury from the doctor, what choice do they have but to stop the fight?
You are right, but it doesn't have to be a no contest which Campbell clearly wanted.

Nate Campbell told his corner to stop the fight.

You could hear him saying it in between the rounds.

        This thread is utter bull****.

He knew what he was doing.

        *** Nate Campbell.

                1) Nate Campbell didn't quit; the doctor stopped the fight.

Seriously... a head butt can effect your vision in more than one way. The doctor saw blood BEHIND (meaning inside) Nate's eye. This is indicative of a torn retina, as were Nate's described symptoms - seeing spots.

Nate never said, "I can't go on; stop the fight." The doctor asked him if he could see, and he said he saw spots. The doctor is there to protect the fighters health, but he can't do his job if a fighter lies to him about the symptoms he is experiencing. Are you suggesting Nate lie to the doctor about a situation that could not only end his career, but permanently rob him of his eyesight?

                2) Nate Campbell was in the fight.

I know this one is going to be hard for most of you, since you have never actually fought; its okay, there are some things you have to step in the ring to understand.

Now I am not saying Nate was winning, because he wasn't, but he was putting in work that would have paid dividends later in the fight; heres were actual ring experience comes in.

As most of you know, Nate is one the few true oldschool ring tacticians we have in the sport, and he was putting all of his knowledge to good use. He was harassing Bradley in the clinches.

What do I mean by this? He was using subtle moves to prevent Bradley from resting. Tapping him in the face, putting weight on him, checking his balance, subtle things to drain Bradley's tank.

Tapping him in the face, big deal right? Yes. It causes you to tense up, and not breath properly. You can't tell if the tap will be a tap, or a hard shot, and it really takes it out of you tensing up for every one of them.

Most of you seem to have been impressed by Bradley's speed, and I admit he is really damn quick, but quick doesn't matter when you still can't land flush. Nate's defense was very effective tonight, and if you watch the replays, seldom if ever does Bradley land a flush clean shot.

All of Bradleys good work came AFTER the headbutt. All credit to Bradley for pouring it on after the headbutt, it was the right decision. However, Campbell still managed to block slip and roll with nearly all of Bradley's shots.

Granted, Bradley did buzz him pretty good, but in all fairness Nate couldn't see at that point, and there is little doubt in my mind that Nate wouldn't have been hit by the punch would the headbutt not have impaired his vision.

                3) Nate didn't look old and slow:

Nate has never been a fast fighter. His hand speed has always been fairly average. His strength is his accuracy, length, and intelligence. Nate simply looked slower than normal because he was in with a fighter that is faster than normal.

His reflexes looked the same as they always have. His defense was just as good as it has always been, and his timing appeared to be just as good as it has always been.

What you saw tonight was a great young fighter in Bradley making things very difficult in the ring. His speed in combinations made it very difficult for Nate to counter between punches.

None of this means that Nate would have won the fight, but Nate was nowhere near as out of the fight as many posters on the site have indicated.

Up until the point of the headbutt, the fight was a very tactically close fight.
was a legit complaint by Nate but he was getting beat easy. imo!!

whatever, Bradley was working him. Nate connected with a right and Bradley just came at him. i agree with Tim. he was going to destroy him.
