If Pac wants Cotto's belt, come get it at 147, not 145. If I won the belt at 147 then you gotta take it at 147. There is no 145lb championship. Why should he be given a pass?

I say Cotto just puts the belt on the line and gets his payday. For one because even if he loses to Pacquiao, I doubt Manny will stay in the division and fight other contenders such as Clottey, Cintron, Berto, etc.

He probably would only hold onto it if a fight with Mayweather was made next. And they can use the fight as part of the hype.

If he doesn't than Pacquiao will vacate it. And Cotto will still have a chance to get it back.

Pacman should withdraw from this fight against Cotto who looks like a loser now even at this early stage and instead should go for Moseley who would like to have the fight at any weight say 142lb and have the welterweight belt at stake. Moseley will love this offer even at 35-65 split.
