prsi i thought about that too and i hope cotto put that stipulation in there because dirty bob was not telling both fighters everything. he kept the money in the forefront now the **** has hit the fan.

I have to clear something out. I truely beleive that if it is in Pacquaio's decision the fight would had been signed already. For me Pacquaio is a true Warrior, loves the sport and is a fighting machine. If they ask him if he would fight a 160lbs boxer he might go at it. That's how much respect i have for the man. However I beleive that his team has told him that he jumped the gun by accepting the terms of the fight and want to change everything around. Keep in mind also that it was not Pacman neither his corner that started the belt issue, it was Varcarcel (WBO president) that started to stir all this up in order to cash in on the payday and that's why i stand behind Cotto.
Boxers should not be controlled as puppets by neither the promoter and much less the Organizations.

We the boxing fans and the sport will be losers if this fight doesn't take place.
Especially in a year of some many downs in the sport, plaster issue, cancellation of fights due to "injuries" and death of several fighters in the sport.

If you want to figh for legacy by winning a title fight for the title under the titles regulations,
If you want to say you beat the best, beat them at their best, not where you want them to be.

Did everybody forget that it was Pacman who called out Cotto. It was not Cotto who called out Pacquaio. Pacquiao knew who he was calling out and what he was about to face and agreed to the terms know everything is being turned around by his side not Cotto's

It's obvious you didn't read my previos post. I mentioned that there have been catch weight fights for titles but it's because the boxers had agreed to that, and there has been cases that the fight didn't had the title online unless it was for the limit and the title couldn't be taken away because it is under regulation There are both precedents.

And regarding Cotto at his best vs Pacman's at his best like i said before it was Pacman who called out Cotto no the other way around there's no machismo here just principles.

And FYI Cotto has always said that he would fight anybody not only Pacman but it was Pacman who was presented to Cotto by Arum because Pacman asked for it.

If Cotto wants 147 so ****ing bad then If I were PAC I would agree fully to a 147 same day weigh in.... PAC could make the true welterweght limit of 147 lbs on fight night, but can COTTO????

You Cotto ***gs are crying about 147 and its evident that come fight night Cotto will nowhere be near 147 but PAC will, and thats the ****ing ballgame... You want Cotto to have a clear and decisive weight advantage and hide behind a 30 hour weigh in at 147 but in reality Cotto will be in the 160s....

This has never been about Cotto weighing in at 147 but Pac's attempt to level the playing field by limiting Cotto to under 160+.

But I think it's ****** for Cotto not to put up the belt at 145...especially if Arum is going to put up the fee's as I read he would.

Wow Cotto gains the respect of a couple keyboard assassins with hidden agendas for there favorite fighter to fight the p4p number 1 and Cotto losses out on the opportunity of a lifetime and his first Mega fight on boxings biggest stage and for what?

Sounds like his pride is getting in the way of sound business decisions....Who cares if the belt is on the line if he's confident of winning at 145...

Cotto is getting 35% now...after/if he wins he'll be the one making the demands...this is ******...I see people openly routing for this fight to fall through...I try to reason with myself why that would be?

This fight has a huge buzz around it and will surely be put boxing in the public spotlight...Cotto is definitely the best option for Pac at the moment....Sugar Shane Mosley is a great fighter...but lets face it he doesn't have the same following Cotto does....Mayweather of course would be the absolute best option for Pac in terms of Money and hype....but it's pretty obvious that Money is fighting JMM...The 24/7 is coming up and if there was no pull out by now...I don't see this becoming a reality...

So Pac would have to wait till after the JMM vs PBF fight and fight the winner of that fight...which would be well into 2010.

So what do we gain from that?...no big fights till next year...that blows.

The only reasons people would be openly routing for this fight to fail is

1. I hate boxing and don't like the buzz of a great event.

2. I want Manny Pacquiao to fight my favorite fighter.

3. I have sand in my vagina.

it is really to cotto's disadvantage if the fyt is called off.
he has everything to gain in this fyt, especially if he wins.

its embarrassing to watch and frustrating too, team pac cries and cries like a buncha little bitches, never have i seen a fighter that has to be BEGGED to fight as much as pac,, pac has painted himself into a corner,what alternative does he have but to fight at 147 ?or fight mosley which we all know pac wont do.
