There has been both precedents. Catchweights with theh title ion the line because the boxers have agreed and catchweight were the boxer has refused to put his title on the line because it is not the recognized weight class for a title weight.
Therefore if the WBO makes Cotto fight for the WW title going b the UP TO 145 limitation, YES, they will violating there own rules.
And by the way i don't know more than the sanctioning bodies i just know how to read their rules. If ou want to read them also here's the link:

Wow this is tiring reading all these Cotto nut sack fondlers...
If Cotto wants 147 so ****ing bad then If I were PAC I would agree fully to a 147 same day weigh in.... PAC could make the true welterweght limit of 147 lbs on fight night, but can COTTO????
You Cotto ***gs are crying about 147 and its evident that come fight night Cotto will nowhere be near 147 but PAC will, and thats the ****ing ballgame... You want Cotto to have a clear and decisive weight advantage and hide behind a 30 hour weigh in at 147 but in reality Cotto will be in the 160s....
This has never been about Cotto weighing in at 147 but Pac's attempt to level the playing field by limiting Cotto to under 160+.

it is about the money. nobody will ever fight for free.cotto accepted the 35% because he knows pac can't hurt him. the reason why he does'nt want to put the title up is because bob tricked him and manny. now that cotto has signed for 2 years he actually caught bob arum in a lie and so did pac.

dirty bob lied, tricked, and backstab both of them after the verbal agreement. now the **** has hit the fan. when top rank announced the fight then right away bob arums quote was THIS FIGHT WILL BE BIG WITHOUT THE TITLE. right there i knew something was going to go wrong.

If you want to say you beat the best, beat them at their best, not where you want them to be.
Did everybody forget that it was Pacman who called out Cotto. It was not Cotto who called out Pacquaio. Pacquiao knew who he was calling out and what he was about to face and agreed to the terms know everything is being turned around by his side not Cotto'sLast edited by prsi; 07-31-2009, 10:07 PM.
