That comment didnt hurt him financially I dont think, considering he got paid more.ANYBODY in the public eye has to expect scrutiny when they say ****** things. To say them repeatedly, you bring hate on yourself.
It may have been a good decision. But a better decision would have been to be more diplomatic about it instead of so insensitive. I have no doubt he cost himself money in the long run with that comment. That was the beginning of Floyd being viewed as spoiled brat with a bad attitude.Comment

You have over 7 mil betting straight up or 2-1 wont hurt you. Why dont we make a conditional bet, like knockdown, ko, tko, or scorecard, winning 120k does nothing for me.Comment

Yes he got paid more, but how much more could he have made in the long run had he not alienated so many people? He could have been another DeLa Hoya or Ray Leonard. His personalty has prevented this, not his skills.Comment

Just forget it. I don't see any way Marquez wins this, doesn't really matter how many points I have.Comment

This is true.Floyd has a style that is perfect for him. He slowly adopted his style over the years. I've been watching Floyd since 96 and can tell you that if he didn't switched it up he would have a few L's on his resume.
but back to the topic...its his comp if anything. If he faces better people he looks better. Tell them to go rewatch Corrales, Manfredy and Gatti. Pure boxing masterpieces.
Floyd has been in some really competitive fights that even the experts didn't expect him to win. There were many of those.
Can't blame him if the competition starts off good, but is dumbfounded and frustrated when they realize they can't figure out a way to beat him.
Some have resorted to dirty tactics to slow him up.Comment
