Why should I look past it, and how do you know he only says these things to sell fights? What fight was he selling when he made his famous "slave wages" comment? What fight was he selling when he called HBO's announcers racist? If someone act like an *******, thats how most people will view them. All this doesn't mean I can't recognize his talent and God given ability.

If you read press quotes every fighter promises fireworks before their fights.
Difference is, in most cases Floyd has the ability to deliver yet chooses not to. and he does this aftermaking these so called promises more and more often. Sorry, I don't see whats to like about that.

I agree with him on the slave wage comment. Just about every fighter makes promises, they are trying to get the public to tune in, thats not a shock.

I think maybe he's referring to the 1st round when floyd was kinda trippin over his own feet.

Thats an insult to every person who has any knowledge of slavery in this country. 12 mil for 4 fights is more money than thousands of fighters combined will make in their entire careers. It was more money than he'd ever been offered before. If he didn't like the offer all he had to say was "I think Im worth more". To call it slave wages was a disgrace.

Not to mention more money than billions of people all over the world will make in their entire lives regardless of profession.

i think alot of people blast his style because their hate makes them think he fought like the baldomir and de la hoya fight his whole career, they need a reality check and watch all of his other fights.

but back to the topic...its his comp if anything. If he faces better people he looks better. Tell them to go rewatch Corrales, Manfredy and Gatti. Pure boxing masterpieces.

Actually it was 12.5 mil for 6 fights. Floyd did the right thing in not signing the extension.
