Cotto at around 160 on the night is probably as close as he gets
That would be a huge achievement.

that middleweight champ is smaller than cotto.

in the old days guys you fight at 135 and 147 are around 135 and 147.

so when you go from 126 to 135. you're only fighting guys 9 lbs. bigger.

nowadays guys at 147 come in at 160 , 165 or even 170.

henry armstrong for instance was not much smaller than pacquiao yet cotto is actually bigger than cerefino who he challenged for the middleweight belt.
Err....Pac was coming in towards 147 (indeed, he may well have BEEN 147 for some) when he was fighting at superfeather.....

It's just a general shift upwards, although I will admit some welters take it to the next level (Looking at you Clottey).

Floyd was 106 when he was 16 and he fought at 154. Floyd was outweighed by pretty much everyone he fought

Pacman outweighed Diaz/JMM/Oscar/Morales/MAB and many more

Roy Jones from 160 to 200.Roy Jones even fought at 154 once

do you know how much pac weighed in the 1st barrera fight? and 1st morales fight?

he must have weighed less because those were his 1st fights ever at 126 and 130.

              manny fills out good though.

i know diaz and hatton weighed more than him.

i think oscar too. for some reason i don't trust the unofficial weight for oscar that night......that was the first time he had ever weighed in unofficially in a long time. sounds fishy.

Also, Armstrong held those three titles at the same time, which is plain ridiculous.

Got to agree with the Dukman here, he speaks truth. Pac did turn pro early when he could make fly, although actually winning the lineal title in itself was an incredible accomplishment as such a young age.
