Is Manny the best division climber in history?

Not just at making the weight, but at the level of his performances
If he get's the KO against Cotto, I couldn't be more impressed with the guy.

    Henry Armstrong?

    Lineal Featherweight
    Lineal Welterweight
    Lineal Lightweight

    in that order....

He also made a ridiculous amount of welterweight defenses, regularly weighing in as a lightweight!

Oh, not to mentioned he challenged for the Middleweight title and gave up 12lbs at the weigh in. (Although billed as a title fight - it was only recognized in California I think). The fight was a draw, many thought Armstrong deserved the decision.

I like Pac but he hasn't got **** on Armstrong's divison jumping.

it's a lot different in the old days.

in the old days guys you fight at 135 and 147 are around 135 and 147.

so when you go from 126 to 135. you're only fighting guys 9 lbs. bigger.

nowadays guys at 147 come in at 160 , 165 or even 170.

henry armstrong for instance was not much smaller than pacquiao yet cotto is actually bigger than cerefino who he challenged for the middleweight belt.

yeah but even if you don't count 122 , 130 and 140 which weren't around back then pacquiao would still have as many belts in as many divisions as armstrong.

pac has a lineal belt at 112 , 126 and a paper belt at 135. that's still 3 divisions if you only count the original 8.
