I think it was pretty obvious that he was too tired to defend himself properly from the very start of the round. I'm not saying Wlad has Pacquiao stamina but it's certainly better than that. He wasn't hurt, he was just unbelievably tired and it was said right after the fight that something was wrong and it was a very known thing around the time.
Fast forward to the rematch: He made easy work of Brewster, which was a sign that he would have probably stopped him in the first fight had he not mysteriously gassed out.
The only legitimate loss on his record is Sanders whom I believe would lose to Wlad 9 out of 10 times. That was just his night to shine. He put that fast, hard, straight left hand to use at the right point in the fight.............very early and often.
