Oh yeah my prediction Dirrell wins this fight, he's way more consistent and better defensively than Taylor. I expect Froch to get hit with plenty of straight lefts.

I dont like Dirrell
.......Froch I like
Froch by a brutal, devastating, spectacular, KO!!!.....Froch is goin' to the finals of this tourney......he may not win it but he'll be one of the last 2......I know he's a **** boxer but Froch has this special something about him.....I dont know what it is but it has NOTHING to do with his style or skill set......its his mind set and NEVER say die mentality.........his heart and will is gonna take him far in this tourney!!!.......I see AA or maybe Kessler winning this thing but they'll have to go through Froch to get it.......and when the smoke clears........dont be shocked or in denial if Froch is the last man standing!!!.......I won't be!!!Comment

Many like to talk down on Froch, but he is a tough ****er with great stamina. Anyone in this tourney who opposes him better be prepared to fight hard, because you cannot discourage Froch.
If Dirrell fights Froch like he fought Oganov, Froch will put him on his ass. Andre is not a big puncher like many in here have said, so he will have a hard to getting froch's respect in there.
Froch is not fancy, but there is no mistaking his desire.Comment

Froch didn't even have a proper warm up for the Taylor fight. He came out fairly cold and it shoed in his performance. He was hurting Taylor in that fight, make no mistake about it. Taylor didn't want to get too involved from the 6th onwards as he had felt the power of the cobra. People make out that it was an absolute schooling. Well, to the same people I ask, "who DOESN'T Jermain outbox for the first 6 rounds?". Answer to that is noone.Comment

To be fair, Ali didn't do it by being a punch-bag for the first seven rounds, though. Even so, 'moronic' sums up much of the comment on that fight; Froch wore Taylor down, took over and got a well deserved TKO, even if he left it late. Taylor was BEATEN, far more so than Froch would have been if JT had sc****d an SD.
BTW, anyone who thinks Froch was 'lucky' should put a stop-watch on the time Taylor was down. Do anyone seriously think he could have made it up in a genuine 10?
As to the OP, who knows? Dirrell is still unproven, perhaps this fight might do so, or perhaps Froch will expose him. I'm just glad we get the chance to find out with the tourney going ahead.Last edited by The_Visitation; 07-10-2009, 03:34 AM.Comment
