lol, ok man. Will he have guts if he fights him at 145?

Think about it. Cotto is a HUGE risk for pacquiao. Pacquiao could take a vacation if he wanted to, wait for Floyd to beat JMM, and then fight floyd in what would probably be the biggest/most money fight of Pac's career. He doesn't need to fight a bigger beast like cotto. He's risking his shot with Floyd.

      That's called guts my friend.

I'm fine with that...but Cotto's belt should not be on the line...

If it's at 145 I have no problem with the belt being on the line, being that 145 is in the welterweight range and since it's occurred a number of times before (like JCC vs Whitaker being at 145 for Pernell's belts).

But regardless, this fight is bigger than any belt.

if its for the WW belt then the WW CHAMP should be able to weigh in at 147 if he chooses to. no one's business but his own if he comes in a pound or two less

i dont like that he's being forced to weigh in @ no more than '45, which now sounds like greedy ass roach is trying to con cotto down to '43 and put pacquiao in with a weight drained fighter. that's too dangerous

Your entitled to your opinion but catchweights are bs imo. Cotto sruggles to make 147 so the 145 is a bigger deal than you might think.

I think this topic has been discussed enough in quite a few other threads to be honest. We'll just have to agree to disagree. No big deal to me, like I said this fight is bigger than cotto's one belt.

i dont like that he's being forced to weigh in @ no more than '45, which now sounds like greedy ass roach is trying to con cotto down to '43 and put pacquiao in with a weight drained fighter. that's too dangerous
No one is being forced to do anything. A catch weight is an agreed upon weight when two fighters from different weight classes agree to meet somewhere in the middle. Cotto said he has no problem getting down to 145. That's HIS decision. If he feels its unfair, or he will be too effected by the one single pound difference, then he has the option of saying, No deal.
