the last 2 fights with erik morales was the largest ever ppv sales for a fight below 147 until pac-jmm 2.

    that was reason enough.
Had nothing against the 2nd fight against Morales, only the 3rd. If David Diaz/ Solis was worth it, then so was Zamir Raheem.

now your critiquing hypothetical match ups that interested Pacquiao & arum but never happend?

if your top 10 p4p & have taken on 3 first ballot hall of famers u can skip a i admit a difficult & talented out like guzman. Pacquiao made his bones already. Its on guzman to beat fighters & put on a show & get that resume, cache, to warrant a Pacquiao fight.

U can fight the solis & david diaz of the world when u have 3 hall of famers in your resume. why would pacquiao have to guzman?

          solis was a tuneup.

pacquiao was about to fight barrera and marquez at 130.

do you want him to fight a tuneup at 135 to prepare for 130 fights?

          tuneup.

          tuneup.

          tuneup.

          get that through your heads.

even david diaz was a tuneup and he had a belt.

david diaz had a belt and was ranked higher than zahir raheem.

how does zahir deserve a fight more?

Yeah, fighting Raheem doesn't bring anything on the table

Does it mean that Pac should fight Junior Jones too coz Jones already beat Barrera?

Pac was chasing legacy that time, trying to get even with Erik

Diaz & Solis were tuneups, Pacs #1/2 p4p at that time so basically he's just fighting to get himself active to prepare for future megafights

Whatever you say man. All I'm saying is Soto vs Pacquiao was close to being made, after Guzman badly outclassed him. I read the articles here on Boxingscene and it really pissed me off. I understand Guzman didn't make weight against Nate, I'm almost off the ****wagon with the guy. Just wanted to throw that out there.

                  2. plus the fight was held in san antonio. guess which boxing fan demographic they were courting? i'll give you a hint. it wasn't raheem fans.

people make such a big deal about nothing.

solis was a tuneup. a 33-0 tuneup. nothing more.
I don't care about Raheem. **** that dude.

exactly brah. he forgot that morales beat pacquiao in that fight. why would pacquiao fight raheem? everything was built on the rematch which was a great fight & a success in the ppv. stop thinking like a fan & put yourself in the fighters position. fighting raheem would be a bad career choice.

The problem here is that, Soto didn't believe in himself, he lost that fight in the 6 or 7th round, even the commentators spoke about Soto's discouraged look on his face.
I'd be discouraged too if the guy ran from me all night. Might as well not even show up.

It was almost as bad as the way Spinks ran from Mayorga all night and got a gift decision.
