a lot of people got pissed at that fight (including me) but not with pacquiao, but with Oscar. the ass kicking pac gave to Oscar must have made a lot of people forget that he was the heavy underdog in that fight. don't let the odds fool you. pac has a significant fan base that people are gonna bet on him no matter what. still, it was a 2-1 fight.

I was equally pissed about it. Mainly because it didnt mean anything. Either way the fight went, it meant nothing to the current state of boxing, or the clarity of any given division. And it also meant the WBC 135 title would be tied up for another year while Pac "decided" if he was ever going to defend it.

Why cant Pac fans just admit thatTop Rank has no desire to match Pac with anyone who is the least bit slick? It doesnt mean the fighter is "scared" or any ****** **** like that. It means in plain english that if given the choice, they choose to match Pac with guys who will stand right there, face first, with little to no footwork or head movement. That is the style matchup that best suits Pac. Look, the last time Pac was faced with any movement and angles were the JMM fights, in which Pac went life and death twice. No big mystery there. Move to 135, fight a plodder in D. Diaz. Move to 140, fight a plodder in Hatton. Choice between anyone at 140, or Shane, or Cotto? pick Cotto.

People have some very bad definitions for "ducking" a fighter.

IMO in order to duck a person, it must be someone mandatory to the fighter's belt, an obvious rival, and/or someone of close talent wise to that fighter. If a fighter completely ignores fighters of those requirements in order to take less lucrative and easier fights, ala Pavlik ducking Abraham, that is ducking a fighter.

No situation like that has existed with Manny.
