In order for Clottey to beat Paul with his kind of work rate, he would
have to be a devastating puncher which he is not so I see Williams
pummeling him with non stop pressure and punches. Williams has
reach, angles, decent speed, height and a good punch with a solid
chin. Clottey would fight but he would lose in my opinion but would
still love to see the fight.

Would you want Paul fighting Angulo...Collazo....or Judah all guys coming off losses.

Or fighting a ranked WBO Champ at 154 pounds who is also undefeated.

**** Clottey beating him means ****..Cotto just did it.
You're being extremely disingenuous and you know it. Clottey is the #3 ranked Welterweight in the world. He lost to Cotto by split decision on the official cards, but many highly respected boxing analysts such as Dan Rafael scored it to Clottey. To compare him with Angulo (who is not even a Welterweight, and Williams claims that he's desperate to fight any top Welterweight but that they're all too scared to fight him), or Collazo (who is only ranked #7 by The Ring) or Judah (who is only ranked #8) is ridiculous.

If beating the #3 Welterweight in the world means **** then he has no business pretending that he wants to fight at Welterweight. You sound just like the Floyd stans when you say idiotic things like that.

        Thanks.

Whats the point in fighting someone coming off a loss?

          Another good point.

Maybe Clottey should take a couple years out and he might then be good enough for Williams

**** Clottey...seriousy..he brings nothing to the table....

            That fight means ****.

Id rather see him aginst a young Champion at 154 whos undefeated rarther then Clottey.

Clottey is a easy win..Clottey got out worked by 5-6" Cotto for christ sakes...Williams batters his ass.

Clottey doesnt throw enough punches...lol...If Paul fights Clottey...it'd be the most one sided matchup of the year...a guy who doesnt throw vs. a guy who doesnt STOP throwing..lmfao...gimme a break witht he Clottey ****.

None of the WW's wanted to fight Paul before and they wont want to fight him after he ****s Clottey with relative ease.

Oh wait I also forgot to mention that he fought Winky after Cotto..Mosley..Berto...and Cintron turned him down.

Thn HBO turned down a Williams vs. Clottey fight.

So what the hell is that Dave guy talking about?

Williams will win every round vs. Clottey its a joke matchup.

A guy who BARELY throws punches vs. The guy who NEVER stops throwing punches are you kidding me?.....LMAO....Paul destroys Clottey

There would be massive pressure on all of the other top Welters, from HBO and from the boxing public, to fight him, if he beat the #3 Welterweight decisively - which is something that no other fighter has ever been able to do. It's by far Williams best chance of getting a fight against one of them. At the moment they have no reason to fight him, because they can say he's no longer a Welterweight, and worse still, that when he was offered a fight against a top Welterweight, he turned it down. The fact is, if he doesn't want to fight Clottey, that will prove beyond any doubt, in most people's minds, whether you like it or not, that he's really not serious about fighting at Welterweight again.

Williams would already be ranked over Clottey if he so much as scheduled a fight with another Welterweight. Ring would recognize a Mosley-Williams fight as the Ring champ. That's why beating Clottey would do nothing for Paul's career. Ring had a reason for not making Margarito-Mosley for the title. And that reason was Paul Williams.
