the fact is they know this.. but the problem is..
who ever floyd fights his critics will say he should be fighting somebody else.

even when the fighter he is fighting THE #2 FIGHTER IN THE WORLD

      4. You are saying Cotto is a better matchup base on size not skill, but who is close in size Floyd Mayweather and Juan Marquez ....when
90% of Mayweather career has been at 135 and under...90% !!!!
what does that meaned to you guys????

      Context
      The WW Division

      Cotto's: 2nd Division
      Margarito's: 2nd Division
      Shane Mosley: 3rd Division
      Andre Berto: 2nd Division (1st:160)
      Joshua Clottey:1st Division
      Kermit Cintron: 1st Division
      Paul Williams:2nd Division (1st:160)
      CarlosQuintana:1st Division
      Floyd Mayweather 4th Division

The welterweight division is floyd's 4th Divison and would be JMM 5th..

Name 1 welterweight floyd is bigger then??

With this said...dont act JMM is fighting a Margarito type welterweight
Juan M. Marquez is fighting Floyd Mayweather a blown up Lightweight. and the smallest welterweight in the division.

See the problem is people got used to floyd fighting bigger fighters all the time, that when he fights somebody his own size or smaller therE is now a problem...
Good points as always, but if pbf campaigns at WW, shouldn't he be fighting WWs???

It has to be Cotto. He is a big puncher and he pressures most of the fime unless hurt which I think will bother Money. Too much pressure while JMM is a smaller guy naturally and will allow Floyd to work a little more because of his counter puncher style.
when has cotto ever pressured an elite fighter. he ran in every big fight he had..cotto will hop on his bike as soon as floyd starts tagging him. as big as cotto is he sucks as being a pressure fighter and his chin sucks

JMM is 35 now, and moving up in weight.

What's skill when you can't use it effectly anymore? Ok I think most people agree whos better skill-wise but if you can't use it right at increased weight who's the tougher fight now?
I guess Joe calzaghe, Hopkins,Mosley,Geln Johnson skillsets is were **** too when they moved at a higher aged.

Floyd mayweather is not 24,25,26,27 he is 32 years old.turning 33
he is aged too...and he is moving down in weight.

What hurts a fighter more.. Moving up in weight when they get older..
or moving down in weight when they get older?

Fanny Pac should be fighting Shane instead of the freshly KO'd Cotto.

JMM isn't any of those fighters at all so to compare and say just because someone did means that he's going to isn't a valid point just a biased opinon so you can just say the fight is validated a toughter fighter for Floyd. and BTW those guys you mentioned their body frames carried the weight well.

Point blank - JMM isn't proven at 140 and he's going to fight where 142, 143? Almost 10 pounds up from 135 after he spent most of his career at 130 and under and moving up at a advanced age. And yes Floyd is coming down but he isn't coming down so much where he's going to be completely drained at all. and he's still fresh - he came out retirement.

they dred the thought of pac ever fighting a black champion. he ducked guzman at 130, campbell at 135, bradley at 140, and now shane at 147

when shane jumped from 135 to 147 to beat oscar he wsn't proven at the weight.

floyd jumped from 130 to 135 straight into a title fight no tuneup he did it again at 154 no tuneup straight into a tiutle fight against the best champions in castillo and de la hoya..

I fail to see your point.
