when shane jumped from 135 to 147 to beat oscar he wsn't proven at the weight.

floyd jumped from 130 to 135 straight into a title fight no tuneup he did it again at 154 no tuneup straight into a tiutle fight against the best champions in castillo and de la hoya..

I gave my piece on why I believe Cotto is a tougher fight than Marquez at this stage. Shane jumped in weight in his younger days, same with Floyd. Marquez isn't young at all.

Love your avatar, but if you want to ask me who's the tougher fight Cotto. You can argue all you want that JMM is better then Cotto in every aspect which I don't agree with but there are certain factors. Like Mayweather is much stronger at 140 against JMM then he will be at 147 against Cotto. Just because ring has JMM ranked at #2 doesn't mean ****. Cotto has one lost in his career and JMM has i believe 3 or 4 so he has lost as does know how to lose. I believe that if JMM ever fought Pac at 140 then he will be knocked out. Some fighters carry there power with them and some don't. JMM was having a lot of problems dealing with Juan Diaz power when they met and honestly if you think that he can beat Cotto then you just don't know much about boxing. Again looking at it as an outsider JMM is respected but he will lose, there isn't many giving him a live shot, take JMM and replace him with Cotto and what you have is a live horse. Although an underdog a live one at that. No disrespect to Marquez whatsoever.
