here's a valid reason y I think cotto is gonna lose...

he's not smart enough to beat pacquiao.. size won't matter against pacman.. if he's been sparring with middles and lightheavies constantly then it shouldn't matter to him...and yes its only sparring but 40+ some rounds in a single training camp is insane no matter how u slice it... pac is built for war..

tell me whats gonna happen once pac adjusts to cotto's power? And let's not talk about Cotto's head movement/defense.. cotto has to fight a real smart fight and not just bull-rush in...

Your whole argument went to **** in your first sentence - Cotto is not smart enough to beat Pac??? #2 - how do you adjust to one's power - do you turn on some invisible shield? #3 - since when has Cotto ever bull rushed an opponent??? Have you ever watched a Cotto fight?? This is Pac's toughest fight because Cotto dispels every argument you just laid out there - TRY AGAIN!

I think it will be a great fight but people are really underrating Pac's speed, power, and timing here. Pac has become a complete boxer and I'm not saying that he will KO Cotto but I think that Cotto will be the one surprised by certain things in this fight, mainly Pac's speed and aggressiveness. Cotto definitely has the power advantage and could drop Pac with a killer punch but I think Pac could have Cotto backpeddling in this one.

Roach says some crazy things but he does usually come upwith the correct game plan which usually is the key to Pacman's fights too.

I can't wait for this fight either but honestly, if everyone said nothing about who they thought would win the fight, this forum would be pretty barren. You are right though, fans should just be happy that this fight is going to happen at all.

Imagine this...

I think cotto is made for pac. Hes not amazing defensively, and he'll get hit by someone with pacs speed. Not only that but he'll come forward into pac, which is exactly how he beat the crap of hatton. What southpaws has cotto faced? Chop-Chop gave him a lot of trouble and had nightmares with Judah before he did his traditional thing of bitching out.

On the other hand roach doesnt sound NEARLY as sure about this as he did about Hatton and DLH. With those guys he was predicting the round, this time he's not even solidly predicting a win

Cotto is trying to time Pac and both commit to a strike... both land on their targets... who is going to hurt more? Of course Pac is the one who will hurt more not Cotto....
