I don't think Joe could make $10million a fight. I hope he stays retired, was bored of watching him in the past and sure don't wanna watch him after a 8month lay off.

But even a way out of prime Calzaghe would struggle to lose against Tarver, Johnson, Taylor and the like.
If Froch unifies SMW and is willing to step up to LHW (lets face it he's had 1000s of wet dreams about fighting Joe, he'd do it no problem) that could make big money in the UK, not £10M, but big enough to be tempting.

He had the opportunity to move to the states and face the best Prime v Prime then. Funny how he made little to no effort then in negotiating, but once Old man Hopkins and Roy "3 losses in a row" Jones were going to retire, he flew over ASAP.
he chose to wait till 2007 to face his first decent opposition: Kessler.
Don't make excuses for him mate, he wasted his talent. Accept it.

Calzaghe has no legitimate opponents. Plus I wouldn't give anybody huge respect for beating Calzaghe now. He has looked terrible in his last two fights, and is quite clearly, well past his prime.

NOT
10 Million US Dollars
In current exchange that is about $17 million.
Jeeez. Even BPP who posted the article misunderstood.
LMFAO.
PLEASE CHANGE TO SAY JOE WANTS $17 MILLION TO RETURN.
What this guy said, dear dear, school boy error. This does remind me of Lennox Lewis's I'll fight again for 100 mill $'s quote awhile ago.Last edited by Kris Silver; 06-16-2009, 01:11 PM.
