If that were the case Bring on Mayweather v Calzaghe at 147 or 154.

    Undefeated II.

People are still arguing about Calzaghe's power? Did anyone ignore what was said by sparring partners or ex-opponents? Nobody said he had killer power but he did have plenty of pop. Eubank respected his power (bear in mind this is someone who fought Nigel Benn twice), and it's not surprising seeing as he hit the canvas within the first minute. Jones said "the pitty-pats hurt more than I thought" (complete with mashed up eye), then you have journeyman Tony Booth who sparred with Calzaghe (and Nigel Benn) saying Joe hits ****ing hard and is the best he's ever been in the ring with. The only people who say he lacks power and can't punch? Random members of the public on a boxing forum.

Overall, Calzaghe punches with enough power to earn any opponent's respect. To my knowledge, there has not been a single opponent who said he doesn't hit hard.

Yup, that's how I see it.

He wouldnt get much credit, but as a fan I'd like to see it. He might get £10M between the 2 if promoted right (in other words let a real promoter do it, not yourself)
His last fight was November 08 and he annouced his retirement earlier on this year but he still works out so maybe he is in decent shape now to go on, push on with a 12week training camp. I'm not his biggest fan but a fight with Froch would be huge in the UK.

I wouldn't be surprised if Froch offered Calzaghe 10 million. He already offered 5 million £'s.

In other Calzaghe news he is officially on his way to looking like Enzo in the hair department.

I actually liked the fact that he admitted that he would get his ass kicked if he kept figthing forever. He sounded more humble than Floyd. But he made himself look like a f#cking jackass even still by saying he'd only come back for the money. Someone like Bernard Hopkins would never say that, even though it may be true up to a certain extent. This guy needs to stay retired and let the real fighters duke it out.

I remember Hopkins saying Winky Wright hits harder than Joe. Winky can't punch for ****. Not saying I believe it though.

And Dawson has earned my respect by giving Glen Johnson a rematch. But if Calzaghe and him ever fought Dawson would lose. Now that Chad has done what I wanted him too though, if he would beat Johnson more impressively than he did the first time I would view him as a deserving opponent for Calzaghe, even though I don't think he would win. Calzaghe is just too active and aggressive for him.
