The bottom line is he won the fight. It was one of the worst to watch I have ever seen but he won it. I'm not trying to say that Hopkins was as good when he fought Joe as he was when he fought Tito or before that, but he is still one hell of a fighter. Pavlik may be one-dimensional but Hopkins still showed that he is a p4p fighter right there. You can hate Calzaghe all you want, but to deny that his win over Bernard is anything but a very impressive accompishment is just a bit ridiculous in my view.

but he didn't win it at all. if you say joe won you are basically saying you are gullible and easily fooled. you should watch where the punches are actually landing. calzaghe's punches don't hit hopkins while hopkins punches hit calzaghe. yea lets punish the accurate guy and reward the sloppy guy who can't even hit his opponent.

yea i see what you are saying, it was a good win, but not a great one. Sometimes it's how you do it that determines greatness. If Mike Tyson only UD'd 37 year old Holmes how would it be looked at?

gonna have to say I had B-Hop winning the fight, but it's the record that counts in this case.

since enzo yelled at him to knock roy out before the last round, joe responded yes. and acctually tried to knock him out in the last round (after having carried him since the 3d round). so i havent considered that he didnt want to knock him out out of respect. even if he did its still a BS fight, fighting a corpse when he has live challengers out there. just to protect his 0.

thats the ******ed logic that makes fighters duck eachother. JMM fought the best, he fought everyone. his loss to chris john was more impressive than any win from calzaghe. marquez all the way.
