Better resume? Calzaghe or Marquez?

Marquez, no question. Calzaghe only fought taxi drivers and old men. Marquez fought the best and i'll give his loss a props.Comment

I picked too close to call. I must say, however, despite being a huge Calzaghe fan but Marquez is a bloody LEGEND and Joe's most notable fights were Eubank and then his last four, this was a very thought provoking post... I actually had to think for a few minutes before deciding. TS gets green K for this. Nice one, mate.Comment

yea but its how he beat him, Hopkins is older now and has to really watch his fuel in the tank, Calzaghe beat him by just looking more active to the judges.Comment

Joe didn't show any respect to Jones...he was SHOWBOATING the guy.
If Sloppy COULD have stopped Jones he surely WOULD have.
Joe has never had respect for the sport.
That's why he DUCKED the LOSER of an elimination bout.Comment

tricking the judges into thinking you are landing punches is a shameful way of fighting. if the judges had good eyesight hopkins would have won that fight easily based on clean punching and making calzaghe look like the amateur fool he is.Comment

Hopkins' mouth cost him that fight.

But really apples does it matter all that much?
The bottom line is he won the fight. It was one of the worst to watch I have ever seen but he won it. I'm not trying to say that Hopkins was as good when he fought Joe as he was when he fought Tito or before that, but he is still one hell of a fighter. Pavlik may be one-dimensional but Hopkins still showed that he is a p4p fighter right there. You can hate Calzaghe all you want, but to deny that his win over Bernard is anything but a very impressive accompishment is just a bit ridiculous in my view.Comment
