I think it is close. BHop and Kessler were to great wins and the Roy Jones, Lacy and Eubank wins are solid.

Marquez obviously has a good resume as well.

I am happy for it to go either way to be honest.

The "BHop was old" **** doesn't fly with me, not when Bernard came out after that and embarressed the undefeated MW champ.

marquez losses & draws means so much more than calslappy's undefeated record.

Those losses & draws means he was challenged, went through & fought adversity. It showed the true mettle of true legendary fighters by finding out how u reacted to a loss or adversity.

Thats how u make your bones. Pay your dues.

            Undefeated records = su****ious.

Rocky Maricano = average age of opponents almost 36. Most of his big wins were vs old fading stars.

Dariuz Michelewski = never fought roy jones jr his entire career.

Sven Otkke = never fought out of germany, never fought a great fighter

Joe Calzaghe = best wins were 39 & 43 year old jones & hopkins. weak effort to make a name for himself vs great competition internationally.

Zolt Erdai = the new Sven Ottke.

            & last but not least,

            Fraud Mayweather jr. = exactly.

All that is pretty much irrelevant.

The point of assessing resumes is to look at who each guy beat and weigh up the strenght of those wins.

On that basis, it is pretty damn close IMO.

marquez has faced the best fighters and never truly lost while calzaghe faced the worst fighters and should have lost a couple times already.

Just because he beat a slow one dimensional fighter? Hopkins doesn't throw punches like he used to.
