    Another example of rewriting history.

RJJ moved up to LHW in 1995, Toney last fought @168 in 1994.

Calzaghe fought Eubank in 1997 two and three years AFTER the people you are talking about left the division, so how the fcuk was he supposed to fight them?

The idea that Calzaghe chose to wait to face Hops and Roy is just being sceptical. He called out Jones a number of times, and signed to fight Hops in 02 and Hops pulled out, so explain all that?

He didn't have the name, couldn't get down to MW, the only time they were in his division he seriously called out Jones. He coulda chased them even more perhaps, but he had a SMW reign as well, why move for peanuts and a possible shot, build your own reign and hopefully force a fight.

Tarver has faded but is still a top LHW, Johnson has also aged well. Jones has clearly faded the most but is still a top 10 LHW too, many feel he'd beat Woods now whom is up against Cloud for a belt soon.

None of these older LHW's are quite as bad as made out, it's just how the division is. Did Calzaghe at 36, get the overall beats and as close or controversial decision against not the top LHW, no.

Calzaghe and Hopkins both beat Dawson still. Even a year from now I don't see Dawson showing the tenacity and skills to adapt to be better then either in the future, but there's a good chance...let him crack on he is very good and deserves credit.

Calling someone out and actually wanting to fight them are two different things. I would have assumed common sense would have taught people that.

And trying to say Roy Jones Jr. Is a top anything is frankly, offensive and ******.

That pretty much explains it all and there was a rematch clause for Tarver. That makes sense to most people.

What a ****** post. The guy called them out and did more then they did yet they get no criticism. As for if that meant he really wanted them is purely subjective, he's clearly indicated he did want them and if you want to subjectively judge the guys character on thin evidence, and say he was lying and didn't really want them, fine. But that doesn't make it fact.

I clearly said Roy Jones has faded the most, and is a top 10 LHW.

Both completely correct as much as may like to make out otherwise yet again.

Hopkins was the lineal and The Ring Light Heavyweight champion at the time and was ranked the #1 Light Heavyweight by every independent ranking body at that time. He was also ranked #3 P4P at that time.

Jones was just a glamour fight to bow out on.
who did bhop beat to get that disticntion you guessed it antonio tarver. since beating tarver for the magazine title who has bhop beaten at 175.

you are right nobody, beating one fighter and then not fighting the best at 175 don't make you the best.

Who else is there for Dawson , Cal had the choice he could have fought the best in there primes by coming to the States he waited forever and fought many that didnt deserve a fight they just padded his career and most were shells of their best Cal avoided the best , Dawson as a youngster has done more than Cal and Dawson has tried to fight everybody , I see Calzaghe avoided the biggest fights where Dawson is chasing them , Cal cherry picked his whole career and really only fought one prime elite fighter in Kessler , Dawson is only young and for the same stage of his career he has a better resume .

As fighters get older, their bones become heavier, and they have to move up. He didn't plan on it - at the time he won the title, he had no problem making weight but that changed by the Dawson fight.

Yeah, his weight just convieniently blew up for the Dawson fight. But this claim only comes out after he loses. Another pathetic excuse from you.
