I was about the same thing he never said he was going to retire after fighting Hatton~. He just said he would fight JMM then fight Hatton in a mega fight nothing about what he would do after.

Also this was dependent on Hatton beating Manny which would have made it a much more legit rematch~.

      Floyd: "I ended Hatton's career in 07"

Floyd: "Hit list: Pacquiao, Cotto, Mosley"

Floyd: "I was ready to give Hatton a rematch then retire"

Which of these statements is true??

Eh....I Think he was just trying to show that he wanted/wants to fight across the pond weather he had intentions of fighting Hatton or not. Didn't Hatton try to secure Mayweather when the talks with Many stalled? I could have sworn I read on here that Mayweather said he wasn't interested. Anyways lets see what Floyd does while he is back before we break out the crucifix.

OMG, the Floyd hate is so unbeleivably high right now. He never said that he would retire after the fight. He said the JMM match and then a super fight was the plan and its still the plan even with the Hatton loss. Why is everyone acting like they are shocked about the Hatton fight? Everyone knew the whole time that Floyd was going to want to fight the winner of the match and if Hatton had won then it wouldve been him. It wasnt a big deal before hand. Sure, no one wanted to see it but we already knew this. Now everyone is acting like its a shock. Why would he not? Hatton always said that he wanted the rematch and he wanted to have it at 140 or at Wembly. I think Floyd was excited about the possibility of fighting in Wembley. If Hatton has beaten Pac then everyone wouldve said its a big win. Again, you may not have wanted to see the fight but it was going to happened because its too much money and its in a huge Arena.

Again as Ive said a million times on here. He could easily still fight after the Hatton fight just like he wants to do now after the Pac fight. You guys also have to remember who Floyd is talking too. He's talking to a London paper. He's trying to make them feel good so he says that Hatton blew it and he wouldve fought him. I bet anything that if Hatton won and they had a presser in Manilla then he wouldve told there paper the same thing about Pac. You guys act like you cant catch on to anything. Stop acting like its the end of the world just because you hate someone. He's basically saying that the plan was for a JMM fight then to fight the winner of Pac-Hatton and since Hatton lost and there in London, he's talking about it from that point of view. He wouldve talked about it from the Pac point of view if it was Manilla and Pac had lost. Still, he never talked about retirment. Stop hating just to hate. I bet anything that if Floyd-Pac does happened and they have a presser in Mexico then Pac would tell the people that JMM blew it and that the plan was to fight JMM if he had won but he lost now so he cant fight him now. Its common sense guys

Hatton's team did contact Floyd to see if he was interested in the rematch. Hatton is one of the top 5 money earners in boxing which is why so many fighters want to fight him for that payday. The money that Floyd would've made fighting Ricky in the UK would've been his biggest payday and a potential for the biggest money making fight in history if Hatton beat Pac, it's hard to blame any fighter wanting that kinda payday.

Even after losing to Pac, Ricky will still be able to earn nearly as much as he would've against Floyd by fighting any named fighter in the UK. If JMM loses to Floyd I can see a Hatton/JMM fight happening in the UK and if Hatton beats JMM and Floyd beats Pac I could still see a Hatton/Floyd II fight happening sometime next year in the UK.

I better get the out for the babies in this thread.. talk about delusional you guiys want floyd to lose so bad it's become an obsession.

newsflash floyd is not going to fight cotto, paul williams, or clottey unless they do something really significant over the next year.

floyd only came back to fight marquez, pacman, and mosley those fights will guarantee floyd over 120 million.

haton is through he had a chance to fight floyd again and he didn't listen to sr. and got koed out know manny will get the 25million
