We were all told that America was sending Lacy over to take out the lesser brit and that Joe would be lucky to go 5 rounds.

No but Baldomir was the #1 welterweight in the world as was Hopkins being the #1 Light Heavyweight in the world, which means he was an elite fighter by your standard!

I'm gonna quit with these games and round off the fact that Calzaghe has not fought let alone beat a P4P elite fighter, that includes Hopkins.

No actaully Hopkins was a P4P fighter based on more than being the Number 1 Light Heavy. Are you seriously saying you didnt or dont have Hopkins in at least your top 5 P4P?

When was Boldomir rated in the P4P top 5? Or even top 10? Ridiculous analogy, and the sort of thing that only irrational haters would post.

I dont take ANYTHING away from Calzaghe, I know he has a pretty solid chin, hits like a bull and is pretty fast in the hands, but Lacy would massacre him.

That is my opinion....Calzaghe is a good fighter, Lacy is a great one....

Lacy in under 4 if it ever happened.

Restless-On a side note, Jesus christ Lacy is a big man for 168....

I had Hopkins at #3 but he wasn't elite when he fought Calzaghe, no were near it. Hell, Calzaghe wasn't even elite when he fought Hopkins.

Was Hopkins a P4P elite fighter when he fought Calzaghe?

Hatton fought and lost twice to P4P elite fighters, Calzaghe didn't fight any.

And obviously it wasn't Calzaghe's fault that fights with a prime Roy and Hopkins didn't happen. It was never his fault.

Ask some of the Calzaghe toy boys on here about my fair and objective views on Calzaghe and come back and try telling me i'm 'irrational hater'.

Hatton fought and lost to P4P elite fighters. Calzaghe didn't.

Some Calzaghe fans seem to object to this? Why? It's the truth.

Im a big boxing fan & i have never experienced they Lacy hype the way the Calzaghe fans make it out to be. Lacy must have been huge in europe before calzaghe beat him.

They hype him up to make calzaghe's win worth more than it actuall is.
Lacy wasn't hyped in Europe, he was hyped in the USA. Most Brits thought Calzaghe would beat Lacy. Most Americans thought Lacy would destroy Calzaghe.

More importantly, Calzaghe put on a masterclass in that fight. Lacy wasn't as good as the Americans rated him, but he wasn't nearly as bad as Calzaghe made him look.
