Im a big boxing fan & i have never experienced they Lacy hype the way the Calzaghe fans make it out to be. Lacy must have been huge in europe before calzaghe beat him.

They hype him up to make calzaghe's win worth more than it actuall is.
Lacy wasn't well known in Europe. He was much bigger in America. FFS, just look through the threads from back then. Americans were under the impression that Calzaghe had no ****ing chance whatsoever.

But seriously..... I dont think there are fighters of that calibre around at 168/175.
What for the whole of Calzaghe's career or the last few years?

No but Carlos Baldomir is not Bernard Hopkins.........seems fairly evident.

I have lost count of the amount of times I have responded to every possible kind of question on Calzaghe. I just can't be bothered to do that **** any more, it doesn't go anywhere. However, I wanted to remind you that a fighter who is closer to 40 than 30 years old himself is entitled to fight guys close to his own age occasionally. SO what? Dawson who is 10 years younger than Calzaghe is fighting 40 year olds. Lacy is about to fight Jones... do you give him **** for it? I haven't seen you post anything about the age difference there.

I saw some of your other posts and thought you spoke sense. You do speak sense on some things, but certainly not when you speak about ol' Slappy.

Right, Dawson is fighting Tarver whois just about done and now calling out a retired guy. Tell him to face Zsolt Erdei (30-0) or Adrian "The Shark" Diaconu (26-0). Hell, why not move up to Cruiser and fight Steve Cunningham (21-2)
or Marco Huck (25-1). Stop goinf after older fighters and put your skills to the test Dawson!

Anyway... I can't believe we're arguing the same old points.

Everything we're talking about has been covered already, many, times. Nothing ever changes here, it's hilarious.

                The last few years.

Unless you are suggesting Calzaghe had any chance to fight Roy Jones in his prime and are comparing Calzaghe then with Hatton now.

1-yes i am new here. look at the join date.

2-Lacy can fight a 40 year b/c & we dont give him **** about it b/c Jeff Lacy & his fans (if there are any) dont claim all time greatness & legendary status.

Calzaghe & his fans meanwhile are another story. They act as if the whole freaking boxing community should just automatically give calzghe all time great & legendary status based on beating kessler, lacy, & a 39 & 43 year old roy & bernard & a undefeated record.

                  I dont think so brah.

& I dont need your approval brah.

Ive asked u several times where u are from but u dont wanna tell me.

No one here really knew anything about him. We just heard rumblings that he was the Super Middleweight Tyson and was gonna destroy Joe in 3 rounds.
