I watched the past Olympics and watched a number of the boxing matches and there were a few boxers I liked...and one was from the Ukraine that Teddy was raiving about that not only had great boxing skills but would make a great pro.

I posted before asking for the names of all the Top Ukrainian boxers because I think there were two of them I liked in particular but I couldn't remember their names.

American heavyweights suck....I said that on page 11.
Benny, you must be the only boxing fan who watched the Olympics and forgot about Lomachenko.

Maybe the way he fought was in conflict with your pre-conceived beliefs about race and athleticism.

I was right about you - you are psychologically unable to say a European boxer is very talented, or ever really give them credit. You seem to deeply believe they are innately athletically inferior.

Listen, most of the matches took place at like 3:30 in the morning...give me a break
I don't hear names like theirs every day. Joe Smith is much easier to remember in America because of the language.
If they were Pro already and on more, yeah, I would remember them. But seeing a few matches isn't anything to remember their names about since it is amateur boxing which I'm not big about because it is a pussified version of boxing/fighting.

Seriously, there was one in particular that I really liked. I'm not sure if he medaled because I only got to see one match of his. But he was a bigger guy (but not a HW) and was real ****y. Had lots of swagger and style. Maybe from Russia...maybe from the Ukraine.

Again, you know little about me and you are bias. You refused to read what I have been saying because you are BIAS and want to believe the World is out to get you and holding you down.

Athleticism? Seriously. My favorite Gymnasts are RUSSIAN for a reason. And my favorite Hockey player is Alexander the Great. I've also put up videos of Kostya Tszyu at his best for his ability as an athlete and said he decliend with age. So don't give me this ****.

      Again, you pick and choose.

You are a bias RACIST Tunney and that goes along with our discussions in private message you sent me

I have to go right now. I might be back on later depending on what time I come home.

      • Wladimir Klitschko's personality and looks + Tyson/Dempsey/Pacquiao style = most popular athlete in the world.

Wlad with his current style = nice guy, boring to watch, not big outside Germany.

        • Age 20 Vasyl Lomachenko not only won Gold at featherweight, he also deservedly won the Val Barker award for being the outstanding boxer in all weight divisions in the 2008 Olympics.

But you don't remember him, Benny? Or perhaps you don't want to remember him for some reason?

            Vitali 156

            Lewis 102

Lewis collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, he was tried and worn down from the accumulation of punches. Vitali was the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission and would've KO'd Lewis in the 7th or 8th round if the fight had continued.

Lewis promised Vitali a rematch if he could get by Kirk Johnson.

Vitali destroyed Johnson in 2 rounds

Lewis retired like a coward shortly after that fight. He turned down over 25 million dollars for a rematch because he is scared of Vitali and he knows Vitali will knock him out and tarnish his legacy.
Think Lewis was more tired from carrying Vitali around in the 6th. Lewis was dreadful and was in terrible shape but had enough to win, end of broadcast.
As for a rematch, Lewis didn't need the money never struck me as a fighter who loved to fight as such so why not retire at 38 and enjoy your money?
As for Vitali beating him up, how about counting up the stitches?
            4 rounds to 2 after 6 rounds doesn't equal a victory BTW.
Whatever you can say about Lewis, he was a calculating boxer. The fighter opposite you is bleeding like a stuck pig why rush it? Just work on the eye and let the referee stop it, upsetting if it is your guy but thats boxing.

What the **** does this have to do with anything considering he acknowledged that he liked him? We know the guys is good, benny has posted videos very recently in a thread created by me, want proof?

You are one huge crybaby. If anyone isnt down on their knees ready to take in the ass from wlad, you wont budge in your straw man positions created out of desperation to feel oppressed and subjugated.

I remember him but I didn't remember his name as a quick reply. Big difference. I saw two fights of his in the amateurs and he is not a PRO yet. So yes, easy to forget the name when it is the first time you are watching the fighter and he is an amteur. Pros are easier to follow especially when they are fighting on TV for many fights.
He was someone I kept in mind but his name is lost with me sometimes.

I'm not you. I don't look up boxers from the Ukraine only and sit around looking for their fights with vaseline in my hand.

Oleksandr Usyk , he was a heavyweight, he lost to Russo the Italian who lost to Chakhiev in the final thank god

Russo ran like a punk the whole fight and got points for shots that didn't land and rabbit punches, Russo is the personification of everything wrong with amateur boxing

Anyways yeah Usyk is an exciting prospect

& its Ukraine, no "the" please

I look for the best from all countries, all over the world!

If some of the best and most talented in 2009 happen to be in Europe, I don't discredit them like you do, I acknowledge their ability.
