Vitali just came out of retirement. He just won a title, and fought his mandatory.

He'll have another couple of fights and then retire. He's still very good, but I could see he's aging in the Gomez fight.

We briefly had a crackhead as heavyweight champion, after McCall KOed Lennox Lewis. And we've had another champion who talked about God constantly, yet conceived many children out of wedlock.

But the Klitschkos are not only great fighters and powerful punchers (their KO percentages higher than Ali, Holmes, Holyfield and Lewis) they are also good men outside the ring! They have raised money to build schools in Africa, and to provide assistance to needy children in the New York area.

The Klitschkos set a good example for children by being good sportsmen inside and outside the ring. Young people look up to top athletes, and these men are the ideal role models!
yes they are good people, but it doesnt mean its good for boxing. as far as im concerned the heavyweight division has been pathetic for the last few years.

Wlad didn't get anymore credit or respect when he was a pure offensive boxer and lost 3 fights (1 by getting caught and 2 by punching himself out) because of that style. Manny has molded Wlad into a complete fighter that fights smartly and still gets KO's against most and only guys just trying to survive does he look boring against. Both Klitschko brothers are far more exciting then Larry Holmes and he didn't get the same kind of hate. Wlad also didn't get more respect when Vitali was retired for 4 years and he was dominating, so the excuse that they won't fight each other doesn't hold water for not liking them.

I think both Wlad and Vitali have been good for boxing and especially the HW division. People complaining about the division being weak now, take the dominating brothers away from the picture and it's even worse then it was for most of the 80's.

I think some people don't like them because they are European.
Wlad does have a lot of Knockouts. It's hard to explain but he somehow still manages to be boring in how he achieves it. Everyone knows you're a big fan but constantly making posts trying to convince us Wlad is exciting IS NOT going to work. If anything it makes Boxingscene like him even less. I think Vitali is a lot more watchable. oh yean, and you claiming foul on race all the time makes you look fairly pathetic. Just a heads up!

The Klitshcko's deliver the knockout. It's usually boring because they take the heart of their opponents so early and they just go into survival mode (like Thompson). That or it's some garbage handpicked opponent like shot Rahman.

Also, I think Vitali is a very poor sportsman, unlike his brother Wladamir who is always very classy.

I think if you don't like a fighter to begin with, that's when you'll find even his KOs boring.

When I point out some people don't like the Klitschkos because they are European, it bothers you because deep down, you know that's true.

Oh geez, talk about nuthuggery to the max. I mean, I always big up my lads, but I don't blatantly profess my undying love towards them like this. There has to be some objectivity, if even solely towards their in-ring activities as opposed to their (in the case of the K brothers) obviously good-hearted activities outside of the ring.

Every single fighter will have a fault in the ring, and I find it much more interesting to talk about that instead of their glowing credentials all the time. Tunney, would you ever in your whole life acknowledge a fault in your beloved brothers' boxing skills? I'm not even hating here. Genuine question.
