lewis may have ducked him, but i doubt thats why he retired, he was getting old, and didnt want to end up punch drunk, and he had already cemented his legacy, he was already an ATG, already had enough money.

    so tell me.....

why should he have kept fighting?

    because vitali? lol

im not discrediting them, its not there fault that there division is filled with out of shape bums, but its still true.

the only real good up and comers are really arreola and chambers IMO, and im a fan of european boxing, you have know idea who i am but you assue that i dont like european fighters, your wrong.
There are many good young heavyweights in Europe under age 30:

      Andrzej Wawrzyk
      Denis Boytsov
      Alexander Dimitrenko
      Taras *****ko
      Alexander Povetkin
      Steffen Kretschmann
      Ondrej Pala
      Francesco Pianeta
      Robert Helenius
      Vyacheslav Glazkov

      and many more.

I agree there are not many in the US, just Chambers, Arreola, Wilder and perhaps Johnson.

You know what, Im tired of people like "Saint Tunney" being moral judges. These guys are fighters not pillars of communities. Im a georgia boy so you strike a nerve when you diss holyfield, the most underated, tough, charitable, exciting heavyweights of our time. To glorify the klitsko's who you probably kno near to nothing about. Im sorry we do kno that Wlad is the most boring untested fighter in my lifetime and vitale cant a descent fight because he is nurturing his baby bro's championship. So " bishop Tunney" you judge after your closet is clean and you join a ministry

You obviously don't know jack **** about the heavyweight division

Arreola is a good fighter, but he's also a fat slob and has no defence

Povetkin clearly beat Chambers....now Chambers is gonna get beat up by Dimitrenko.

All of the best heavyweights are from Eastern Europe.

            You Americans have gone soft.

The Klitschkos have proven to be dominate in a division that really can't offer any competition against them. Maybe a Klit vs Klit (No lesbo) bout might offer something.. Or a Klit vs Arreola.. IDK, all fun aside they rule the heavyweight division with an iron grip.

Vitali couldn't even beat an past prime, unmotivated, not at his best Lennox Lewis........get over it. Vitali lost by TKO because he got busted up.

Lewis was at the very end of his career and basically retired Mentally after finishing off what was left of Tyson. The only reason he stuck around for as long as he did was because people kept telling him he had to fight Tyson or his legacy wouldn't be complete. It didn't matter if Tyson was a shot fighter or not, he had to fight him and he knew this. After that Win, Lewis retired mentally which retires you physically. He wasn't ready for a tough fight against a hungry Vitali at that point in time. He should have retired after Tyson but the Boost in Fame right after that fight and the much deserved recognition, followed by another big payday, kept him on. But that fight let him know that his time was done. He was to old and didn't have the fight left in him to train hard and fight hard anymore. And he still won that fight.

So Chambers is one of the only two good up and comers, but the undefeated guy who beat him last year is garbage?

Wait, so you think fighters from Eastern Europe are British fighters? Wow.

why so biased, im trying to have a calm debate, there isnt a whole lot to know about the division as of now, its pretty bent, i havent heard of many british up and comers, so i apolagiz if i offed your countrys fighters, but fill me in, who are they?

He was the same age Vitali is now. He retired because he didn't want to face Vitali again.

For some reason, you never acknowledge anything positive about Vitali, or Wlad, or Calzaghe, or Marciano, etc...
