I hope neither of them agree to move down that much to fight manny because they will both be a lot weaker if they do. I think they should fight each other and manny should wait out the mayweather marquez winner

David had no shot against Goliath either but he won. What didn't people know? David decided the hell with standing toe to toe and he brought a gun to a sword fight. Not quite the same with the weight issue because Goliath was healthy for that fight, but David did something nobody expected him to do because they didn't think about it. While they thought Goliath would kill him because of size and skill, David had smarts and brought a slingshot with him and stayed the hell away with speed and distance.
That would serve a lesson for future generations on how to get a smaller force to beat a bigger force.

Freddie is admitting to calculating correctly that Oscar could not make 147 and be healthy. The only thing I don't think he knew was how bad Oscar was going to show up which he didn't find out until he heard that Oscar was dieted/trained down to the 140's and stayed there and then showed up like death at the weigh-in. He gifted wrapped the victory.

So if you want to give credit, give it to Freddie for making the fight at 147 and then give credit to ******ity for Oscar not only making the fight at 147 but not paying attention to history (with other fighters that have done the same and failed)...and of course greed and desperation.

Paq fighting them at 147 would leave him at a disadvantage when they weigh in at 160ish on fight night but if the contract says they cant weigh more than 148-150 because the fight is suppose to be at WW not middleweight on fight night.

Floyd was also the smaller Man when he fought Castillo who was said to be a WW by fight time. I think it was a 9 pound difference between the two by fight-time.

With Oscar, a lot more than 9 pounds what is said.

Cotto or Shane calling out Pac to come to 147 when Pac has RECENTLY fought a fight contracted at 147 is not out of line. Now had cotto or shane recently boxed at 140-145, then you would have a point. But they havent.

The thing is this. If you want to win the WW title, then your opponent can weigh 147. When Roy wanted the HW title, I dont recall him making Ruiz come in at 201, do you?

yeah, but I also don't recall Ruiz calling out RJJ, but Cotto and Mosley are always calling out Pac. The only time Roach and Pac mention Cotto and Mosley are when people ask them.

Personally I dont care if they fight at a made up weight. My problem with it would be if the WW title was on the line.

welterweight = 147-141 lbs. the title will be on the line. sorry.
