The funny thing I've noticed lately is that, since retirement, Calzaghe's stock has risen rather starkly. Some fights that people would have called differently if he was still active are now dismissed as not a worthy opponent. All very strange. It's as if different rules apply to retired fighters.

I don't know why Calzaghe gets mentioned any more. Great fighter that he was, he's gone and he is most certainly not coming back. The haters need to find an active fighter to hate on now. May I propose Dawson or, if he ever resurfaces, Kessler?
