This conversation is really ridiculous. The only reasoning someone would have for claiming Calzaghe was better in his prime is that he always looked good on account of fighting **** opponents.
Take Trinidad out (and you can argue about his effectiveness at MW anyway) and Hopkins' resume at MW is roughly the same as Calzaghes at SMW.

Feel free to argue that Hopkins beats Calzaghe - it's certainly a makeable argument - but you can certainly argue it the other way. Calzaghe's capable of being a slick boxer when he wants to be - it's how he beat Kessler in the end and Lacy of course. He also used to be capable of blitzing his opponents until the hands finally gave up - see the Sheika, Mitchell and yes even the undefeated at the time Veit.

Using your logic, I still dont understand how Calzaghe ducking Johnson excuses Hopkins from ducking Calzaghe........

true actually my bad - DLH was proven at WW and LMW i dont know what i was thinking when i typed that.

but he did lose to sturm - no doubt about it and like i said had no buisness being up at MW.

iv no idea who was in the MW's at the time but if johnson was he would have beat DLh handily.

p.s. SHB im interested in your opinion who do you think had the more impressive career hopkins at MW hopkins or calzaghe at SMW, personally i rate it more or less the same with a slight edge to zaghe however maybe my bias as a zaghe fan is coming out.

where i do think that zaghe has a clear edge is that he beat the up-and-comer and hopkins failed...twice.

Hopkins never ducked that bum in my opinion. In my opinion Calslappy ducked him and everybody else (his pathetic excuse for a resume proves it) and that so called agreement is just more Calslappy/frank warren lies and propaganda BS. End of story.

Are you prepared to accept the word of the CEO of Showtime? Because he confirmed all this.

No? Thought not. That question mark at the end of your username is pretty superfluous.
