I wouldn't be too sure of that. Dawson is young, athletic, technically sound boxer who has a bit of a tendency to fade late. Sound like anyone Bernard fought?

I had Dawson in my top 10 p4p by benefit of the doubt. But after this fight I'm going to have to relegate him. The jury is still open on Dawson. And Calzaghe would walk all over him at this stage.

Dawson was never in the top 10 P4P list and he will never be until he fights often and fights credible opponents often.

you tell me. I think Dawson gives too much time for a fighter
to get into his rythm and with Bernhard you can't do that
because he will take advantage. If Hopkins has a last
Pavlik performance I say he has a good chance at beating
Dawson, if Dawson can't KO him. If Dawson fights Hopkins
like he did Tarver tonight then I say Hop has a chance.
Dawson needs to step on the gas and fight more actively
and enforce his youth and athleticism on his opposition.
And what's with him bending all the way down to avoid
          punches?

Perhaps but Dawson doesn't keep the pressure on and only throws
combos in sperts then goes back to his defensive shell. Hopkins
would have plenty of time to think unless Dawson turned up the
heat the fight would be close.

Exactly. To me Dawson's still an over hyped prospect. Hard Nard would pick him apart and Calzaghe might k.o him.

I laugh my ass off when I hear people say Dawson would beat Calzaghe.

I actually think that Calzaghe would be too much for Dawson
BUT I think if Dawson can improve or implement some key things
into his fight game then he can become a great fighter but as
of now he is good and can improve. The thing he needs to do
is step on the gas a lil more and be more aggressive using his
speed to overwhelm guys because when he let his hands
go on Tarver the speed was too much for Tarver at times.

If you still consider him an "over-hyped" prospect you are a fool son.
