Dawson is a good fighter but come on, in reality he LOST to Johnson (who I think is possibly the most underrated fighter in boxing so) even if he got the gift decision. Calzaghe and Hopkins would make him look out and out foolish. If he fought Kessler now that would be an interesting fight. I like Dawson, but some of you guys are overdoing it.

LOL I don't see Pavlik doing anything to Dawson.

Yeah right, this one is about STYLES.

First of all, Bernard Hopkins wont go anywhere near Chad Dawson, which if you know about hopkins thought process concerning picking fights, tells you he himself probably doesnt think he would school dawson

Second of all, if calzaghe is gonna make dawson look ******, how about he actually gets in the ring with him, rather than pretending he's not the draw peter manrefedo is. Dawson's style gives him a chance against calzaghe, which is why people wanna see the fight, plus dawson still has time to grow, he isnt hiding in his backyard fighting WBO bums, he's fought Glen Johnson (who calzaghe wouldnt even get in the ring with), Adamek, the cruiserweight champion, Tarver is old but thats an experience fight for chad.

He's very athletic and strong and that will win him a lot of fights but I until he proves otherwise he doesn't look like anything special. As HBO said, and I think they maybe spot on, he is a B + fighter who can capitalize on a weak division. An impressive resume for a young fighter though ( Tarver x2, Johnson, Adamek) but I can't really see him making any huge improvements as he is a solid fighter but nothing is outstanding about him

I disagree. For one, it would be more of a "reward" for Hopkins and Joe if they beat him. IMO It would seal the deal for Joe Calzaghe's legacy and it would be a GREAT fight for Hopkins to retire on. If either guy beat Dawson there would be no one left as Max Kellerman said. For Joe that makes a BIG impact on his record. At least to me it does. But Dawson is a reward to Hopkins and Calzaghe not the other way around. I mean it would look good but it would do more for Hop and Calzaghe IMO. Neither guy wants to take the risk though.

I do agree on Dawson not being anything special, not yet anyway. He can ONLY get better and at 26 he has plenty of time....

I agree, I don't think Dawson is all there upstairs if you want to know the truth. He seems like he's a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

It was pretty much the same as the first fight except Tarver was a tad more aggressive.

Thats Tarver though, he always adjusts his game plan on the rematch not during the actual fight.

Ex. He beat Jones in the second fight that way. He knew Jones couldnt hurt him int he rematch so he went balls to the wall (eyes closed and all) and KO'ed him. Tarver's not that good. He's solid and i'm dissapointed that Dawson didnt/could'nt KO him. He really needed a KO victory to prove a point IMO. But a win is a win.

It seemed to me that Dawson was experimenting a little bit. Most of the time he had his hands like Mayweather, with his left hand up and his right hand down. At other times, he looked like he was doing a Winky Wright impression, with his hands up in a tight guard, moving straight forward without moving his head or feet. And then he would do that thing where he would duck under shots, almost in a squat. I'm not sure if this is good or bad. Is he trying new things because he's still improving? Is it because he's uncomfortable with his own style? I'm not sure what's going on, but last night he seemed like two or three different fighters in there.
