head to head at LW pea would win, but head to head at 140, I think pac would win.

      Pacman Jay,

With all due respect to you, and to Manny:

KO percentage is not the be-all, end-all of boxing. And beating someone by KO is not necessarily a measure of heightened skill. For example, Ali lost to, or had close fights with guys that George Foreman knocked out. I don't think you would say that Foreman is better than Ali.

So, again: much props to Manny Pacquiao. His **** is delicious. But Pernell Whitaker was a better fighter.

Did you ever actually see Pernell fight?

I don't know...Pea blanking Pineda and making him cough up blood by the end always impressed me.

My comment was regarding the dominant nature of Pernell's win as IMDAZED stated it, if ATG list is based soley on dominant wins then Manny has more since KOs ARE the most dominant way to win. It was not on who was better ATG list. I don't really know Whitaker so I can't make a judgement, but one of the idiots did state that Manny is good, but far from great which is ridiculous.

Making dudes miss all night while winning every round WITHOUT power is as impressive as blasting dudes out and just as dominant. Perhaps more when you factor in what sort of focus it takes not to make big mistakes in fight after fight for the full route.

False, if a KO comes at the end of a war it is not "dominant"

Pea had fought some good fighters in their primes, Pac not as much.

Pac has the better names on resume though.

resume wise Pacquiao has a much better resume, it's not even debatable imo.

not saying who would win, just based on resumes.

Pernell should be ranked higher than Manny for now. I think it is very easy to see Pernell beats manny.

Chavez, Ramirez, De La Hoya, Trinidad, Nelson, McGirt, etc.

                      Umm...it is highly debatable.
