Letme make a point here people.. Were talking about higher in the all time list

Pee in his prime could probably beat most champions, but in terms of accomplishments,Pac ranks higher in the all times list IMO with the better names on his resume, and the way he won the fights,by KO

I mean,i can see Pernell beating Duran similar to how Leonard did in the 2nd fight, but it DOESNT mean he ranks higher then him? U see?

I see that you have problems with simple logical thought processes.

What has a prediction got to do with a statement , one is reading form the other is reading history , Teddys not an idiot mate not by your standards anyway .

This is a pretty dumb generality. There's enough tape of great fighters like Canzoneri, Berg, Chocolate etc. to reveal a lot more than leading with faces. Those were highly skilled fighters who would be amongst the best in the world in any generation. They would never have physically lasted in all those fights without skill.

I can agree somewhat with Champ's post anyways; there is no reason to deny a modern fighter greatness simply based on a volume of record and Pac may well deserve to be top 30 already. It's incredibly tough to get that high for a reason. I've seen cases for guys like PBF, Hopkins, Jones etc. as similarly high. Considering the number of pros over the years, it's unlikely five or six of the top 30 fought in the last decade.

The men with volume who sit near the top all time do it because they also showed they could handle every style and had a depth of opposition which is staggering. It's a tough mountain for a modern to climb.

Pernell the best defensive fighter ever? That's one of the most ridiculous things I ever heard. I've got all his fights, seen them all, his defense isn't nearly as great as some people in this thread make it sound. He got hit and stunned regularly in his fights.

Speaking in terms of defense I have PBF way ahead of Sweet Pea.

do you think Pacquiao has wins as good as prime Azumah Nelson and near prime Julio Cesar Chavez?

the only one you could say is as good is his first win over MAB. Morales and DLH were clearly past their past(especially DLH), and the Marquez fights are quite controversial in terms of scoring.
