    still, imo its another cherry picked fight by floyd jr. This is even worse than hatton coming up to from 140. Marquez is a career feather/junior lightweight. If floyd wanted a money fight he had;

vs cotto - money & legacy fight
vs mosley - money & legacy fight

I think mosley vs floyd draws a lot more than marquez. Same thing with cotto fight. He would just get so much more respect for fighting both of those guys than fighting marquez.

How far off am I here? It sounds about right to me.
That would be an impressive run, but "best ever to lace them up"? I don't think so.

And if Cotto and Williams keep winning in the meantime, then most people - other than some Floyd fans - would want to see him beat them too, before retiring again, to prove beyond doubt that he's the best at his weight.

But the three fight run you mentioned would certainly give him a much better legacy than he has now.

"Best ever to lace them ****ing gloves up" is a quote directly from Roger Mayweather on the Hatton vs Mayweather series, not in my opinion certainly. Floyd Mayweather Jr also believes he is the best there ever was and isn't shy in vocalizing his opinion on it either. I would like to see him take on Cotto as well, but let's see how Miguel does with Clottey first. Something tells me Clottey is catching Cotto at the perfect time to pull an upset, and Clottey certainly has the defense to go all 12 rounds to keep Cotto honest....

When was Floyd fighting bigger fighters? You are clearly a very new fan.

How do you move through a bunch of weight classes and keep fighting smaller fighters? Examples below:

            Corrales - bigger
            Castillo - bigger
            Ndou - bigger
            Gatti - bigger
            Corley - bigger
            Judah - bigger
            Baldomir - bigger
            Delahoya - bigger

            side note: Judah was shot?!

he will stay peacefully in retirement if he don't have to fight fellers his size, like Mosley, Cotto, Clottey, WILLIAMS, Margo etc,,,,,,, as long as he can fight little guys like Hatton, JMM , Pac etc,,,,,,,, he will force him sef to break from the comfort zone to go to WAR, shoot , if Eric Morales calls him out he would really ****e himsef but he would leave his lair to prove to the world he is the greatest of allllllllllllllllllllllll time ! What worrys me is if Nonito Donaire calls him out what GAYEDWEATHER would make him fight at ??? Now thats real scary !
