Why wouldn't he get credit for beating a top P4P fighter? A guy who has given the current P4P kingpin all he can handle?

If Marquez can give Manny Pacquiao more heat than all of the bigger men that Manny has faced, why can't that be applied to this fight? Weight isn't an issue here. Especially the way Floyd fights.

Why is it cool, if Pac beats Hatton, for Pac to fight Floyd but not Marquez?

Are Pac and Marquez not close enough in size and skill? Did they not put on two of the closest and best fights in years together?

Exactly!!! the pressure is all on Mayweather, this fight would only enhance JMM's legacy....he just cant lose by picking this fight, this is a brilliant matchmaking by Team marquez after many countless times of turning down great fighting opportunity for low-paid dumb fights.

If Floyd had made this fight immed after Hatton, I'd agree. But the guy just got off the sofa for two years. Marquez is MUCH sharper than I'd expect Floyd to be. Marquez went through 2 (3?) world-class training camps while Floyd was away.

Hopkins beat Tito at 160
Hopkins beat Goldie at 160
Oscar brought Forbes up to 150

What usually happens after a loss? Or a period of inactivity? You take a journeyman, or a smaller fighter. Usually, that smaller fighter is NOT an active champion, #2 p4p.

Height wise, i think floyd is only about a inch taller, & floyd is not a attacking fighter so i can see jmm surviving the full 12 rounds. A counter punching fight is marquez kind of fight. He'll definitely be more competitive than Hatton. Floyd's fighting pace is also favorable to jmm.
