Adamek vs. Johnson is Turned Down By HBO

How quickly people forget about Berto/Collazo, Marquez/Marquez, the two trippleheaders, Mosley/Margarito, Cotto/Clottey on HBO, Pacquiao/Hatton, Urango/Berto, Angulo/Cintron, etc.
Quit your bitching. Showtime needs to step up and get these types of fights. I was only mad at HBO for passing on Taylor/Froch.Comment

HBO is slightly annoying. Their commentators are ALWAYS bitching and moaning about why boxing is dying, and certain boxers fault for it. Yet they basically forced Pavlik to fight Hopkins by turning down every other option, and then blast him for being greedy and taking that fight when he had other 'options' that they turned down.. then they top it off with more bitching about boxing dying because we need young champs and old fogies ruin it for them. Damn let fans be happy for another underdog story. Now they turn down yet another potential ring-war. HBO is still the #1 boxing network, but sometimes I don't understand their actions.Comment

HBO sees that this fight is a mismatch. Johnson is not even a large light heavyweight, and he would be fighting a cruiser weight puncher( with skill) at his weight class and who would be coming into the fight at heavyweight. Not saying it wouldn't be a good fight( until Johnson was eventually knocked out by Adamek) but this fight is a mismatch IMO. Johnson is too old to be moving up in weight classes.Comment

At least we shall be spared some horrible scoring by Lederman, I got Glen Johnson in this one, but if its close he will get screwed again.
Adamek doesnt move his head, so johnson should find him with the right and and jab no problems.Comment
