What I want to know is: why didn't they (Kirkland and his girl) hide the gun under the seat and just take the speeding ticket? If you're gonna have a gun at least hide it..Comment

I don't know what stops the girl from saying "the gun is mine" and that's the end of the story. He didn't have the gun on him and he's not allowed to be in possession of a gun. Since it was in the center console, he wasn't possessing it; he was merely in the same vehicle with a firearm.
Any decent lawyer should be able to argue this charge away.Comment

criminals don't need to be on any undercard (unless there's one in his jail). btw, the constitution doesn't protect thugs on probationAnother unconstitional move by our f***ing corrupt government. Unless Kirkland has been involved in a robbery since 2003, then the courts do not have the right to put him in jail. They want to put him in probation that's fine, but to take his job (boxing) is ridiculous. Kirkland needs to be in that undercard.Comment

Look at kirkland as a person and in the ring as a fighter, he hates hes opponent before and after the fight. Now that hes made alot money and is a star on national television hes prolly a huge mark in texas, and not to mention he probably already had problems with people before that. No one walks around with a gun unless they need a reason too. Im sure he has a serious problem with someone.kirkland must have issues with someone in texasComment

Those days are long gone bro. The police can do whatever. They have a ****ing camera now on top of police cars in South Florida that takes pics of license plates as they drive down the street, then it uses a computer to check all the plates and see if the owners got any warrants or got any funny stuff going on. They can do like 3-4,000 plates a day with those things. I hate the police down here. Before they got those things, they used to run random plates all the time, especially if you were in a "su****ious" area. I got popped by that, while I was coaching basketball for free in the hood!!!!!!! They need no just cause anymore, they should just white out that phrase from every legal document in the whole country.Well the second ********* says a citizen has the right to bear arms, and has Kirkland been involved in an armed robbery 2003? No, so this is just illegal su****ion by the police which is unconstitutional in the first place. We don't know what his punishment will be, but if it hurts his boxing career, like 10 years in jail, then that's BS. It's just common sense. If I were Kirkland I would challenge the court.Comment
