I love the guy but people act like he's 25 and not 35 years old. Plus, he would be giving up size to Mayweather and a lot of speed.

I wouldn't mind seeing this fight but no where near 147, that would be too high for JMM. I think if the fight is made it has to be made at 130-135 at most.
I also doubt that JMM can beat mayweather because of the age and size advantage. But a tuneup is an easy "warm-up" fight to get the rust out. This is still no walk in the park for mayweather. To think otherwise is just foolish.

also, I'm surprised negotiations are stalled over weight and not money.

Not if he fights him at 140. If he wants the respect of any neutral boxing fans, that's what he has to do.

        Or the fight shouldn't happen.

If Floyd wants to fight at 147, then why not fight a credible 147lber?

He is just trying to have every advantage posible because he knows JMM is dangerous!!!!!!!!
Dude, you really need to stop being such a hater. It's affecting your judgment and your ability to make sense. JMM wants no part of Valero it's high risk low return. The idea of a Bradley fight making good money is absurd! Floyd probably does walk around @ 150 to 155. What a man walks around at is a fact that not even a hater like yourself can argue. JMM is a great fighter no doubt about that. More dangerous than Diego Corrales, or Judah ? Only a fool would think that. I hardly doubt Floyd is concerned with JMM beating him.

Floyd can make 140 with no problem, he just wants all the advantages against JMM...hopefully Marquez doesnt cave in....140 is where it should happen

                Goddamn, 70 pages!!!

Anyway, this fight should happen at 140 and not a pound more.

You do? Based on what wins?

I'm with you on this. I think Marquez has ATG potential, but he's not there yet by any means. Perhaps a championship at 140, and a couple of megafight victories over lets say Pacquiao, Hatton or even (doubtfully) Mayweather would go a long way in cementing ATG claim.

WAIT.... Everybody stop and take a deep breath!!

OK. I would like for somebody knowledgeable to explain to me (like I'm a third grader) what the extra advantage is that Floyd gets if the fight is at 147 as opposed to 140.

We all agree that Floyd will be 148 pounds on fight night either way. Agreed? Please explain how FMJ would increase his advantage if the fight is at 147.

                      Thanks...and no flaming.
