In the US, revenue is generated by PPV. That is what makes you "a draw". Boxing matches in the US are not staged in big arenas. there is no interest in doing that. There is a reason that fights are held in small arenas in casino cities. The casinos pay site fees. Dontcha think tyson/oscar could have had fights in the SuperDome or wherever?

Here is the simple math:

Fight in front of 50,000 people with an average ticket price of $100 = FIVE MILLION REVENUE.

Sell 300,000 PPV buys with a unit price of $50 = FIFTEEN MILLION REVENUE.

That is what makes you 'a draw' in the US.

But if you want to focus on ticket gate sales, you can refer to the fact that mayweather-Judah sold out (15,000) at thomas & mack. In fact, the "crappy' fight with baldomir sold 10,000 tickets....same as Cotto/margaritto.

Facts are that Mayweather on his own is a mediocer PPV draw at best. If you are comparing his drawing power to Margarito and Cotto then you have more then justified my observation that he is not a major PPV draw.

And PPV is not the only way to generate TV revenue in the US because in the US we have advertisers and big TV networks who pay to carry the fight which is why you see Boxing on TV in the first place. Just becasue somthing is on PPV doesn't mean it makes you a star especially if you are fighting meaningless opponents and 15 million dollars in in the Judah-Mayweather match up barely pays off the boxers saleries much less all the advertisements and marketing that went into the fight.

If someone really likes someone as a fighter for that reason then that would certainly be racist. Oxford English Dictionary's definition of racism:

They are both ridiculous position. Marquez calls out Mayweather who had not fought at 140 since 2005, but then wants the fight at 140.

Mayweather weighs less than all welterweights but now he really needs the fight to be at welter. They are both full of ****. All they are trying to do is to trade pounds for dollars, obviously they will start from as far as possible from where they can eventually get.
