    Ex.

Juan Manuel Marquez does not "walk around" at 140. I can't have a discussion with you if your basic facts are so wrong.

He has build alot of muscle, I can see him making 140 but if he did that...I'd rather him not face a WW.

if he can make 140 then why would he fight a WW? If he's planning on staying on the WW division, then fight a freakin WW

A catchweight is reasonable. Even Floyd meeting JMM at 140 is "reasonable", although it kinda makes no sense.

Instead of both guys drying out, then rehydrating, they could just pick a higher weight and skip the "weight charade". Without any insider info, I'd guess that is what Floyd is thinking.

For example, Manny is 148 in the ring. So is Floyd. What sense does it make for them to fight at 140, when they can fight at 147? I think that MAY be the logic FMJ is using, but who knows.

In reality, we are 400 replies into an initial article. I remember the similar response over the 60/40 Pacquiao/hatton negotiations. Also, Pac/Oscar. And those got worked out

It's entertainment for me while I watch the Masters, but you can tell some of the novices are getting genuinely emotional. Funny.

            Flip,

Why do you care that much? Why - as a fan - don't you just want to see the best guys of similar size fighting each other?

floyd is the man everyone wants to fight him so why should he drop weight to fight a bunch of fighters that most likely won't beat him no matter what weight division they fight at,i think a marquez floyd fight would be great but if marquez want it he gotta go get it, floyd should probably agree to a catch weight but he doesn't have to he's the man so he calls the shots

                FROM ESPN:

Even Diaz, who is by no means a small lightweight himself, was impressed with his opponent's size when the two men met at news conferences to hype Saturday's fight.

"He looked pretty good to me," Diaz said. "He looked pretty big. I was a little surprised he made the weight, to be honest."

"I'm comfortable at 135 pounds," Pacquiao said. "I walk around at about 145, 150 pounds. So, it's a good weight for me. I am gradually growing up slowly, not jumping too many weight divisions, waiting until my body is comfortable."

It is, he says, a continuation of the process he has been going through from day one.

"I am still growing," he said with the hint of a smile in his voice. "I am a growing boy."

It is hard enough to build yourself for a certain weight. Why should Floyd Mayweather Jr. have to build himself into a WW body again? JMM wanted the fight...take it or leave it. Still, I see no mismatch here

Just ****** people who don't understand, there is hardly any size difference between Pac, Mayweather and JMM

There is a difference between Floyd and JMM though. JMM is smaller than pacquiao.

Jmm weighs 140 on fightnight, pacquiao weighs 147. I agree that there is hardly any size difference between Floyd and pacquiao though.
