My take is that these boxing forums are overrun with twelve year olds.

What's next, a thread on who could beat up who, a lion or a tiger?

Are seals as trained as MMA fighters? I dont know much about them other than they have to be in incredible shape. That doesnt relate to fighting skill though.

Like someone else noted, most military combat training is overrated. I've seen tough guy marines get taken out by average joes.

i dont understand why a hypothetical fight between a boxer and navy seal is so farfetched........?????

not like i'm asking if boxer could rip a shark's jaw straight out of his skull while simultaneous saving a midget from drowing in freezing waters or something outlandish to that effect.

take a chill pill and carry on.

Duh, what's a "boxer", what's a "navy seal"? Are there just one of each so that you can compare them like that?

How 'bout this - Can a Marine "take it to" a Sailor in a street fight.

          Answer: No. Marines are *******.

By the way, much to my chagrin, I think an average tiger can beat up an average lion.

Remember, military hand-to-hand combat was designed with that idea that you will be fighting with gear on (like a flak jacket and a kevlar helmet) and your main objective will be to take the person out as quickly as possible. That means anything goes. Eye-gouges, nut shots, break someones finger, whatever.

It's easy to say its overrated when you've never been in a fight before.

As to who would win in a fight: who knows? They are two different fighting styles with two guys who are in awesome physical condition. Could be either.

Yeah. Ligers are easy, not like tigers.

Yup. Most are trained by TMAs or karatekas or "reality styles" like KRAV MAGA (HAHHAHAHA)

Yea, you're right. Marines are *******. Marines, the ones who train by FAR the hardest out of anyone else in the military (with the exception of special forces branches). Marines, who train the LONGEST out of anyone else in the military. Who have their OWN fighting style (Marine Corps Martial Arts). Marines, who are the FIRST to fight, LAST to leave. Go to Iraq or Afghanistan and tell me how many "sailors" are fighting over there. I bet its only the Seals, and the Navy Corpsmen (who are stationed with MARINES!!!)

Look at the list of casualties in the past few years. Marines fight. "Sailors" sit on boats and finger-**** each other (no offense to Navy guys).

Get your facts straight, werewolf. You're a *****.

Ha ha. Careful, sweety, you're foaming at the mouth and drooling on your bib. Marines are the laughing stock amongst sailors. The sailors get the girls, the marines get each other.
