if you watch seal training, the core of their training is NOT on hand to hand combat but on underwater demolitions and weapons training. A seal in hand to hand combat is the equivalent of like a amateur level boxer. A seal is no where near as proficient in combat as a boxer is. The people here talking about it like seals are all that without weapons don't actually know how Seals train in reality. Go to youtube and look up the series on seals that was on discovery channel or TLC or whatever it was, they spend 90% of their time training on sabotage and underwater demolitions they aren't the god like be all end all fighting machines in HAND TO HAND combat that some of you make them out to be. Most of their training is with weapons. In hand to hand with NO weapons (no knives or anything) a boxer will leave the Seal unconscious in about 5 seconds with the first combo that he throws.

If Sergio Mora challenged Seal to fight: Seal turns around and walks away laughing hysterically. Mora sneaks up behind him with sucker punch to back of head rendering seal unconscious.

if the boxer has a knife, gun or whatever weapon then it could go either way..the first person to pull the trigger and hit ther other wins..but if its a no-weapon type of fight where you just have to use parts of ur body then i have to favor boxer in an open area and enclosed the navy seal..i just think that they're more trained to used their elbows, knees than boxers..elbows and knees are the weapon to use in a close combat..

Depends on how good the boxer is.

Let me start by saying I love boxing but if you guys think that Boxing can compete against any Martial Arts discipline that was designed to hurt, kill, and destroy another human being in a "real" life situation then some of you are a bit naive.

Most countries that have special forces often teach these specialized units to not only kill with their bare hands but they also teach them to disarm and subdue their attackers.

A boxers training is mainly taught to be used inside the well regulated setting of a boxing match. While Boxers would be more tha capable of defending themselves against an everyday attacker they would be hardpressed to defend themselves against individuals who have been taught to take away all of a boxers strengths and exploit all their weaknesses (Grappling, Submission techniques).
