and you forget that a boxer is trained to hurt and kill his opponent with giant pillows on his hands. take those away and we'll see how good your mma/seals do. In fact they'll be put to sleep within the first punch that lands on their dome.Let me start by saying I love boxing but if you guys think that Boxing can compete against any Martial Arts discipline that was designed to hurt, kill, and destroy another human being in a "real" life situation then some of you are a bit naive.
Most countries that have special forces often teach these specialized units to not only kill with their bare hands but they also teach them to disarm and subdue their attackers.
A boxers training is mainly taught to be used inside the well regulated setting of a boxing match. While Boxers would be more tha capable of defending themselves against an everyday attacker they would be hardpressed to defend themselves against individuals who have been taught to take away all of a boxers strengths and exploit all their weaknesses (Grappling, Submission techniques).Comment

not really, but the fact you're asking if a boxer could take a navy seal.......and then i notice your avitar is Kurt Cobain !
Surely, you must be 14 or 15 years old. Which if you are, then that's fine as the comments you make certainly suggest your age. However, please dont tell me you're in your 20s or 30s haha, my word, you look a d!ck if that's the case.
As i said tho, i think you probably are around 15 years old therefore your comments are expected.
Can i fetch you a Sunny D ?I genuinely thought that men posted on here, not children. Seriously, what is the average age? it can’t be more than about 17 tops. The young chap who started this thread is terribly aggressive and shows all the classic signs of a rebellious teenager. I’m glad those days are far, far behind me !WTF is this guy's problem? What an irritating person.
Listen, if you don't like someone's thread, go the **** elsewhere and stop whining.

That exactly my point!! A boxer is only trained to land a punch while Seals/MMA fighters can land punches as well as kicks and submission moves. Seals and MMA's are wellrounded fighters who can use multiple techniques while a boxer has only one form of attack. Dont get me wrong a boxer can handel themselves against your average hoe but against a well trained Seal or MMA's they stand almost no chance aside from landing a punch.Comment

that's exactly what i was thinkin. i brushed off the first couple of comments but the guy kept on, that **** got incredibly annoying so i put his ***** ass on ignore. something i rarely do.Comment

LOL dude you're simply coming off like an angry Boxing fan that doesn't want to hear what actually happens outside a Boxing ring.Hey noob, you obviously don't know much about boxing but here's a protip for you: boxing is not just about punching. The sweet science has several equally important elements one of which is FOOTWORK. Which boxer do you watch that just stands in one place and throws arm punches? You truly are a dumbass, an expert boxer is also an expert at FOOTWORK and can easily get out of the way of a Seal's attempt to shoot at his feet or take him down while throwing punches off the back foot and KTFO the Seal. Please learn about boxing before postign ignorant hogwash.
A trained professional boxer isn't trained on how to avoid kicks, take downs, etc. Having good footwork is great...when fighting another Boxer who's going to stand up with you. Put any of the top fighters in Boxing right now in with even a brown belt Ju Jitsu artist or a Thai Boxer and tell me how they're going to block kicks and take downs. If it were that simple many Boxers would be giving MMA a shot. It's common sense man. I'm a bigger fan of Boxing than any other combat sport, but common sense is common sense. The same way a Boxer would dominate a MMA fighter or in this case a Seal is the same way a guy trained in all forms of combat would have an advantage in a street fight with no rules and anything goes.
LOL @ people being so uptight about it though LOLComment
