People that base their opiniions on win/loss record are idiots. Sure Kostya Tsyzu lost a couple but that doesnt take anything away from him unlike Calzaghe whose undefeated but who's only big time win was Kessler. I give him no credit for beating a washed up Roy jones jrand i dont see how the **** he won the hopkins fight! Tsyzu opposition and skills were a lot better than Calzaghe's!!!!!!!

Here is a thought since it is brought up often with regards to American fighters:

Who had more pro fights at home, Kostya Tszyu or Calzaghe?

kostya fought 17 fights in australia and none in russia. 10 of those 17 was in his first 10 fights.

out of 46 fights , joe fought 42 in britain. of the 4 he fought outside of britain , 2 was last year.

I don't know, but Calzaghe has never had a test against an elite fighter in his prime.

The closest was B-hop, who was 43. I guess i'll pick Zaghe due to his long reign against nobodies/ joes.

tszyu is overrated and it is my oppinion that thats the same reason hatton has been overrated his whole career.
tszyu's career is not better than joes tszyu biggest wins are judah and mitchell and judah may be a very talented fighter but he is also a very ****** fighter so to me the judah win is as good as the lacy win and sharmba in my oppinion is not a better fighter than kessler and even if he was the fight was stoped because of mitchells knee and yea tszyu dominated the rematch but mitchell never seemed the same after the 1st tszyu fight, another thing about tszyu is that he was a dirty fighter and the mitchell fight is a good example of that

                  And the Winner is

Although, I just thought of this: some would argue he is Australian now as well; so how many after he became a citizen?

I don't think we should count the off-the-boat Russian even though he was fighting in Australia. Not truly home until you are a citizen.

                  Not that it matters anyway...
The results are still in favor of Tszyu.

To be fair, Joe fought in England a lot against English fighters.

I thought about that too, but I would say Wales is closer to England than a Russian fighting in Australia and the States...especially a Soviet breed fighter fighting in the States.
The fact that he got a lot of respect in both countries is a testament to him. Talent and Character will do that.
